Human Revolution (Pre-Order DLC) - Declining Tong's Weapon

I couldn't find mention of this anywhere else, but while reading the walkthrough information I saw the line:

"Two things will happen now depending on which version of the game you have. If you've got the Explosive Mission Pack preorder DLC from GameStop, the Augmented Edition in Europe, or one of many other special offers worldwide, Tong will tell you that he'll help you out in finding Sevchenko's killers, but his son is being held hostage by Belltower and needs to be rescued. You'll then receive +1000 XP and orders to go meet a Harvester contact in the [url='http://www.gamebanshee.com/deusexhumanrevolution/walkthrough/lowerhengshasewersreturn.php']Daigong District Sewers[/url]. Upon completion of the quest and returning to him, Tong will offer a weapon as payment - the [url='http://www.gamebanshee.com/cgi-bin/search/banshee_search.pl?_layout=DEHR_Items_Page&_cgifunction=search&DEHR_Items.itemname=Grenade%20Launcher']Grenade Launcher[/url], which you can turn down if you so choose."

I was wondering (because there didn't seem to be any obvious reason to do so) does anything happen if you decline Tong's offer of the Grenade Launcher? I have no intention of using it (inventory is full up atm) but he still gives you a choice instead of just forking it over so it makes me suspicious that there may actually be a benefit to declining the weapon.

Anyone have any idea?
