Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage bugged out on me and left me with an unresolved quest entry in my quest log named "Secure the Chinese Listening Post" that seems to persist beyond the DLC itself. It irks me. Does anyone know how to remove it via the console? I know it's possible to do this in F3 as well as Oblivion and Morrowind, forcing quest states etc, but I just can't seem to hit the right search strings on Google to find it.
I'm not looking to score empathy points or anything, but I've had kind of a tough week. I'm usually pretty self-sufficient when it comes to issues like these, but I'd like nothing more than to receive a helping hand at this point. I think I'm actually about to fall off my chair.

I had a look at the Geck and didn't find what I'd hoped would be the definitive answer, all I can suggest is
StopQuest DLC02OA4
How did it bug out exactly?

It's a little tough to understand. The 'run' to the listening post is made up of the mining town bit and the listening post bit. You can mow them both down without ever speaking to the squad commander (for lack of a better name - the guy that's with you at the start of the DLC and then does that freeclimbing bit). But if you do speak to him, you get to tell him to assault first the mines and then the listening post. He will also confirm to you if either job has been finished or not.
What happened, I think, is that I asked him to assault the mining town - but then forgot to ask him to proceed to the listening post (he will still follow you either way).
What happened next is that I cleared out the listening post (edit: forgetting to ask him and his squad to attack the listening post), then talked to the squad commander. Instead of allowing him to take me back to HQ for the next assault, I think clicked 'as you were'. But when I clicked on him again, he wouldn't give me the same 'you finished the listening post - lets go back to HQ' dialogue back. At this point I decided to walk back to HQ (I did this several times because it confused me).
I moved on to the ice camps/hovertank bit and noticed that the 'attack the listening post' option never disappeared from the commander's dialogue tree. I clicked on it, then he and his squad ran all the way back to the listening post. I followed them, curious, and watched them move through the entire thing. Nothing happened at the end of it. A bit mad, I finished the icecamp/tank bit on my own, though I did notice the commander kept following me. He even teleported me back to HQ at the end of it.
After that the game became impossible to finish as it wouldn't allow me to enter the last areas of the DLC, it thinking I still hadn't finished the listening post. I cheated my way through the rest of it, which resulted in a couple more bugs, but nothing I couldn't get through by cheating a little more. By the time I got out of the simulation, the game ran like normal again. Aside from the unfinished quest I got stuck with.
That's pretty much it. I can only advice anyone to talk to the squad commander at all times, so the game knows where you are, which areas you have finished.

Are you sure you killed everybody in listening post? Even the engineers?
I did a bit googling and found the following site which basically has the very same problem you have:
http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/ ... p/20746272
Never experienced this myself but you could try to use console commands to advance the quest to next step in case you are still stuck. Just remember to save/restart the game after using console since achievements will be locked (AFAIK) if console commands are used.

It could be, I can't really check that out anymore at this point. Thanks for the suggestion though. To put it in army terms, next time I'm playing through that DLC I'm doing it 'by the numbers', so I won't miss any step of the way or accidentally bug something out.
