Truly small problem ...

Post by Aribeth »

When I begin chapter one in original campaign... I needed to get basic equipment from chest in my room, but I didn't find anything. I have no weapon.

I try reload game and I started tutorial twice, but I am finding same problem. No weapon. First I was favored soul, then I was swashbuckler.

How I am supposed to fight gray dwarves if I have no weapon?

I've never encountered that before. I think it happened because both classes aren't originally included in the OC and then the game can't detect what class-specific weapon you should receive.

I wouldn't worry about it though, all battles at that early stage of the game should more or less take care of themselves. You'll find something before things get serious, so you best stay out of the way until then.

Usually you can "pull" a weapon from your companions - like the Wizard. (i.e. crossbow in here inventory). Still, fist fighting is often acceptable, and is preferred over that of crossbow at close range.

Fact is though, your companions should be able to take care of things without you.

I usually stock the Wizard girl with 1st level Mage Armor's that can take care of you and your companions, with 2nd level exclusively as Summon Monster II.

Once you have killed a few enemies they usually drop weapons as well. Also check elsewhere in the home for other chests (not necessarily for weapons, but perhaps for other items).

Note: a well-crafted Sorcerer is particularly strong in the Original Campaign (..from about level 6 onward). Not a good class for MOTB though..
