after frozen screen solution difficulties

Hi

My game was freezing after I got to the 'hall of heroes' and finding the post on how to fix it and it worked. Unfortunately a small problem has arisen - because I didn't restart the game from the beginning and just continued from the 'hall of heroes' - eventually after battling in 'wyrm's tooth' and getting the journal and lots of stuff I returned to Kuldahar - which is were the problem appeared. The game was reset to the point where the druid is murdered and he asks us to venture to the severed hand. So i go to the severed hand to see if i can return the journal and it seems that quest was reset as well. Wow i can do it over again - not. So is there any solution to this problem?
