Hearthfire

Post by Fearless »

So I have paid the magnificent amount of $4.90 for "Hearthfire" . Steam tells me I have bought it, my computer tells me I have it, but what they don;t tell you is how to initiate it. I have travelled around and tried to find someone to buy land from, but no joy. Trying to get anything out of Seam is like talking to a brick wall. What I would like to know is, how do you start the thing up.

I believe a random NPC will approach you when you visit any city (but maybe after a certain amount of time has passed) and give you a deed or will. The quest starts from there. If nobody comes, the mod may not have been installed correctly.

There are 3 places you can buy land each one 5000gp. what i would say to try is to the jarl at Falkreath, do a quest for him (kill bandits) then ask his steward to buy a house and go from there.(he will sell you the land)

A Courier will bring you a message from the Jarl of Falkreath. THis will eventually get Lakeview Manor (actually purchased from Steward).

Do the Quest Laid to rest in Morthal and the Nightmares quest (Deadric) in Dawnstar to start the others.
