Wierd House in the Dark Forest

Post by Marblecake »

Hello, I am new to this Forum. I just signed up so I can post this where people might actually care about it (which I hope some of you do), it was kind of hard to get to this location.

So yeah. I was always curious what might be with that weird house located behind the river in the Dark Forrest. I saw it first on the Dark Forest map found here xanlosch.de/kiyas_crypt/. I used my pyramid stones to get over the river and to move around the other side since the player can't walk anymore, once across the river. The most difficult part was getting over the little wall that surrounds the house. But by inching the pyramid stone into the stairs I found a way to get inside.
The house itself seems very unfinished: the roof doesn't fit the walls properly and there is a cellar-door that doesn't work. The items you find are nothing special, the usual dagger next to plates and cups. Overall I found nothing interesting inside or around the house except a puddle of blood beneath a wooden crate in the middle of the house. The crate can not be moved so I still don't know what that might be about. But still, I feel like there could be more inside that house I might have overlooked.

Oh well, for now I had enough of this place. Hope you guys have some use for the images. Feel free to let me know anything you might know about the hidden house, I would love to know why it is there and what it is good for.

This house was originally going to be Boratus' house. When balancing the game before release, Larian decided the Dark Forest was a little large, so cut off the south east corner of the map with a river (everything related to Boratus was moved to the house east of the elven village).
