Which is better?

Post by Glizz »

I've never play KotOR. I haven't seen it at the store I usually buy. It's the older SW am I right? I played The Old Republic once. It was nice. But how do you think - which is better, KotOR or TOR?

Depends on what you are looking for, KotOR has a better story (It's basically a better SW-style story than the movies), has more enjoyable encounters, and also provides some neat background for TOR. I'd say TOR has better balance (in KotOR, wearing a robe, and maxing Dex makes you godlike), in addition to the other advantages that comes from being an MMO.

Basically, if you like single player RPG's, like the stories of Bioware, and enjoy Star Wars, you should play it.

It's great news! I'm looking for something with nice storyline! I usually prefer play multi, but some games are just better playing single.

Play them both? Start with the first KOTOR game though, so the series will make more sense chronologically. And remember to use the TSLRCM patch for KOTOR2.

You should be able to buy the two KOTOR games for $10 or so each.

Like SWC said. Contrary to wines, games get cheaper as they age. And like wine they mature over time, if you count projects like TSLRCM. ;)
