Hostile NPCs - New Vegas

I've accidentally stumbled into a restricted area
in one of the casinos on the strip and of course
all the NPCs are now hostile (including the one
I need to talk to). It's the casino you go to to
find out about The Family. My other saves are
in no position to help and I'm on the 360 so no console commands. Any way out of this
situation?

By "other saves", I take it you don't have autosave available right before this problem?

There are few things you could try. First, holster your gun and see what happens. In case of restricted area, you also have to leave that area as well. Secondly, travel to completely different location, for example another city, wait for few days and go back. It's possible that the NPCs aren't hostile anymore.

By they way, what is the quest you are trying to do? Perhaps there is another way to get around the problem and complete the quest...

Just tried both those options and didn't work. I also had a suggestion to fast travel somewhere else and wear the uniform the guards wear, sleep for a few days and come back. Still hostile. I walk into the casino. The dude at the door asks for my weapons, I hand them over two secs later he wants to make me minced meat. I'm doing the "how little we know" quest. I once managed to use a stealth boy to talk to him before he gets hostile but the next part of the mission is in the same building as well so I can't do that.
