Vamprirism- Yes, or no?

Post by Skormir323 »

I, several months ago, became a vampire. i liked it at first, although now the dying in the sun is kind of a burden. the lack of burden (snicker snicker) is a plus, for i love carrying loads of crap everywhere. i thinks its fine, but what do you guys think? pic unrelated. completely unrelated.

It's fine, the wait command keeps things fairly simple, if you don't want to get roasted simply wait, and if you forget yourself when exiting a dungeon, you can simply turn around. Unfortunately the time within Oblivion doesn't really match the time outside it. Nothing makes me feel more stupid than "death by exiting Oblivion gate". I swear, the game sets the time to midday on purpose.

on my last game after I turned, I got sick of it pretty quick, and went after the cure after only a couple of weeks...
in my new game I caught it with in only a couple hours into the game, so, I've kept it longer this time, I am about 50 or so days in, I am getting more use to it, and having turned so early in the game I did actually find it helpful, making me more powerful at such a low level (especially as the OP mentioned the lack of burden)

so, for now I am going to stay a vampire (at least until in actually start effecting my game play, or interferes with a main quest or something)

Honestly? I would go for it if and only if you've played vanilla. You have to play as a vampire comlpetely differently as if you weren't turned, so it's best left if you want to RP or just explore a different facet of the game, not to actually have a regular playthrough with. Also, the weakness to fire hurts a LOT in the oblivion gates.
