Torchlight 1 respawning dungeons?
Torchlight 1 respawning dungeons?
I played torchlight 1 quite a long time ago and I was able to go back and strengthen myself by repeating dungeons. I don't know how I did it. I cleared the 'crypt level' and went to the 'garden level'. So I exit my game and then go to the previous waypoint, but it does not respawn. I tried searching google with only hits on torchlight 2.. (I am playing torchlight 1)
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
I realize that this is a very old post, almost a year old at this point. But for those who may have the same question...
I'm pretty sure that without mods the "story" dungeons will not respawn, BUT you can go to one of the vendors in the town (the only female vendor) and she sells dungeon maps. There are a bunch of different maps that she sells according to player/mob level. So just buy those and you can grind some xp that way... also make sure you do the quests for the guy that's near the portal in the south part of torchlight, he sends you off into stand-alone dungeons and each one is a quest, good amounts of xp/rep there.
I wish more people still played Torchlight, for some reason I didn't like T2 as much, the whole "open world" thing just doesn't work for this game IMO, and the classes (skills/abilities) feel boring. They changed a lot of stuff from first game but IMO most of it was better in the first game.

I recently "finished" playing this game..
Every time I exited a level, and then returned a re-spawn occurred. The re-spawn was however largely in relation to my character's level - so while the treasure was dependent on the floor's level, the monster's were not.
IMO it was altogether too repetitive, particularly when you add in the extra "maps". Honestly, if I'm going to do that it might as well be a 1st person shooter like Hellgate London - which at least required more skill on my part.
I'm assuming this is what the Diablo series was like (never having played it), if so - I'm glad I didn't.
