I just installed BG: EE on my Windows 8 machine, and I would like to enable the Debug Mode. The problem is that I cannot find the baldur.ini file. Multiple threads, some on BeamDog's own site (see, http://www.beamdog.com/support/766 for example) indicate that the default installation directory should be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition\Data\00766. For me, this is not the case. The downloader has installed the game in C:\Program Files (x86)\BeamDog\Games\00766. Every site I have found has indicated that the Debug Mode can be enabled by editing the .ini file, just like in BG II.
Anyway, in the directory on my computer, there is the executable for BG: EE, but there is no .ini file. If I search for baldur.ini or *.ini, I can find my BG II baldur.ini file, but nothing for BG: EE. There is nothing in the install directory for BG: EE which looks like a configuration file. If someone else has experienced this problem and found a solution, it would be good to know.
