How to reach level 40?
How to reach level 40?
Do anybody have an idea?
Well, the easiest way is to level up until your character has reached level 40!
Okay, more seriously, I take it you're talking about how to reach level 40 with your character in the original Neverwinter Nights campaign?
If so, there's unfortunately no way to reach the level cap by simply playing the campaign(s).
Even the Hordes Of The Underdark expansion will get your char "only" up to level ~27.
If you're looking for any options to "farm xp" or something, it can't be done, as far as I know.
The only way would be to export your char and play a fan-created module that would get them to level 40*. Or you could use the console to artificially give your char more XP.
Of course, using such a char afterwards to play the original campaign would be pointless, since it would be way too powerful to make a playthrough even remotely entertaining.
* It's been some time since I played any, so unfortunately I can't give you any recommendations . Maybe someone else can chime in with some suggestions?

Indeed. You can kill every man, every chicken in the OC and you still won't even get close to it. And even if you somehow managed to get there, the game would become laughably easy and boring. Level 40 only has value in persistent worlds and such.

Can adjust XP rewards the campaign gives.
If you enter this:
CODEWORD=hacktastic
CODEWORD XP1=ffrodriguez
CODEWORD XP2=barkeater
Under the NWNPlayer ini file within the NWN directory it will open all campaigns (assuming you haven't saved within them already), then open the toolset and close the window prompting you to open modules (can't access the campaign modules here). Instead:
- Click on file, open, bullitt point 'campaign modules' and open ... you will have to open and alter each chapter individually.
- Accept all warning signs.
- Click edit, and under the module properties window click advanced. The XP Scale slider can be seen here, and manipulated from 0>200.
High level enemies (balor lords, Lich etc) will reward approx 12000 xp at level 20 on a scale of 200.
Just save the module when done. Don't know if you will get to level 40...haven't tried it.
You will have to save the module chapter under a different name, unfortunately at the chapter end it will then go from "your xp modded" chapter to the original vanilla Bioware chapter. Can't remember if that effected decisions made in previous chapters (always thought the game checked for items like Aribeths ring), so might need to check that. Otherwise just save character and import.
