MMIXX unlimited repair kits

Post by Claudius »

The only way to get heavy armor is with a fighter base class or adept -> valkyrie...

I'm a adept/mage with bladewitch instead of valkryie.

I am finding my armor wears down and I need repair kits. The problem is that repair kits are very limited in the game. Once you buy from the shop in fargrove or arrindale the stock is permanently gone.

Thanks for any help. This version is much harder. I would be so frustrated if I had never played the game. Of course there's probably some people saying it is too easy.

EDIT this is game breaking
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

IIRC, shopkeepers can repair stuff. But otherwise, yeah, the repair system was another "improvement" in MMXII that wasn't thought out very well.

Putting points in Repair helps and the Repair Kits drop as random loot too. Besides that, you're correct in your assessment: it's gamebreaking. One of the reasons I stopped playing.

Sheesh, what a mess that makes of the game. Ok now I need to find something new to play. DL is like comfort food for me and I was enjoying the new challenges. I kind of liked the change in difficulty to cooldowns and potions that barely recharge you. Now I don't feel like starting a new game. What to do?

Play some Titan Quest: just as much build-options, better polished game.

Yeah, I love titan quest. Have you ever played Underlord Mod? It is very cool rebalancing of classes with a new class, occult. Occult replaces rogue and it is a very stylistically cool class.

I designed a build to overcome the repair problem. Kenjasi can use kung fu as the weapon and since fists are used they don't wear down. Knight gives heavy armor which has more durability.
