Since there is a thread on the Tv series.
Do any of you guys play the games?
I have 6 of them.
Armada, Away team, Elite Force, Birth of the Federation, Command 1 and 2.
Going to get Dominion wars and the Fallen in a week or two.
So do any of you play, and what do you think of them?

I can't abide the tv series or the movies--they're pretentious as hell, everyone of 'em, IMO, and the first in particular.
The games are more of a mixed bunch. BotF was a sad disappointment with some strong possibilities, but the interface was a mess, frankly. Command is fun, if you like that kind of incredibly detailed tactical battle game. Frankly, I don't; I prefer incredibly detailed CRPGs, and strategy titles.
Now, I just got Patrician II, and that's a damn fine merchant sim (with some battle, too). Kind of a Pharoah or Caesar III, with plenty of trade elements added.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Works for me. Can we do this in virtual reality, and also torch William Shatner in reallife?Originally posted by Darkpoet:

The only Star Trek game I have is Harbinger. I haven't played it in ages, but I didn't care for it much. IIRC, it was DOS based.

Star Trek Armada is the only Star Trek game I’ve played for the PC. I have played the various Trek games for the SNES, like the Star Fleet Academy one, but it's been years since then.
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
