Overlooked class
I am trying now Kensai dualled to the Druid at lvl.9. Eeeek! I did not think before the character could bring forth such a devastation! Dual-wiekding clubs, and Mastery in Staves with 1 star (so far) in two-handed weapons.
Crisis? No, there won't be any crisis next week, my agenda is already full!

hmmm, thats an intersting combo. I might have to try it.
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

Actually i have played a kensai/druid before...this is an awesome class if you ever want to try it...expecially when you get to level 15 druid...you are almost invincible...I memorise 6 stoneskins and 3 insect plaques, then i memorize 6 wondrous recalls to give me an almost endless supply of stone skins..then 6 chaotic commands to prevent any annoying stun or mind controls or psionics then i dual wield 2 scimitars...cause they look cool...its awesome. I dualled to druid at level 9 kensai...although i must say its very hard to get the stats to dual to a druid from a figher because you need to have 18 in int, wis and charisma...which means you have to sacrifice str, and dex. (good thing for gauntlets or dex and str belts)
Glory, formally Genesis who forgot his damn password.
Almost any combo that dualclass starting with fighter is extremely powerful though. I go with berzerker cleric myself, and thats a class probably able to solo SoA and ToB quite easily. With the new thief ability use any item thieves rule too, and we all know about mages dualclassing.
I always preferred dualclassing myself, dont want to be some other freakrace than human, but lets face it, it is extremely overpowered, even more when thief got their new abilities.

Sigurd, Crazed Cleric of Talos, Servant of Evil.
Dual classing is great in BGII or any ADnD based CPRG. That is IMO one of the big differences in practical terms between computer play and tabletop (in terms of mechanics).
In tabletop, having a human GM go over your stats (and getting good dualing stats is HARD) and then handing out XP makes it a LOT harder on the would be dualer. The fact is that in a CPRG, you can get a lot more XP easier than with a human DM *and* the game progesses faster (in real time) which means you don't need the patience of a saint.
So yes, in BG, Dualing is great. When I used to play ADnD, *I* almost *never* saw anyone try to dual (I only remember once about 10 years ago or so and it was a disaster).

a little of topic but ok:
i think this is really funny, we (and that us all 'older' members) had the same topic.
we dicused every combo with a kensai, not only the (over)powerfull kensai/ mage combo but also the Kensai/druid and Kensai/Thief where a big point of the discussion.
And i think it's funny to see all u new members (who came here in june/juli) have the same discussions.
u should searched for kensai/druids on this board Path, if u a reallywant to pay/ or want some tips to play them.
there really are a lot of topics about Kensai/mage/druid/thiefes.
