Suggestions for new classes?
Since I´m such as BG junkie I´m tired of the usual BG character classes. I wish for something. So now I´ll lete everyone make up their own classes. One that I would love to play (probably a thief kit) would be a Ninja. Like a Stalker/Kensai/swashbuckler in one . Another cool class would be an amazon, a fighter cit only available for females or perhaps new types of Wizards? Or why not an Undead main character? Such as a ordinary character with the ability to sudden change into a vampire? give me some more suggestions!!!
I wager the turnip market is making a killing today!

There's a lot of cool things that could be done...
On the notion of special new wizards, I would like to see a Psionic or mental wizard, with only mind-effecting spells, and access to more powerful domination and confusion spells etc. I think that would be cool. They could have a "mind blast" stun ray like the mind flayers.
Another thing would be more races, or like some people have said more subraces of the existing ones.

May you walk on warrrrm sannd....
A Ninja would be cool, if you restricted it to darts, katanas, and wakizashi, ninja-to. And of course insane, and I mean INSANE thief abilities

I personaly would love to see a couple more types of archers, other than plain ol archer, i would be interested in seeing like magearcher, or clercarcher, or some other class, like arcane archers, etc...
the arcane archer can make varrious of arrows by hand like regular, +1 +2 and so on all the way to +5, then the prinnance of his abilty is an arrow of death, he can only have one arrow at a time and it take a long time to do but it has the chance of killing a target, and it got horriable saves like-6 to the target! nice i read these off a website some where, but i forget.

bah bah, sig? Me? naaa.
Arcane Archer is from 3rd Edition D&D. There's also the Shadowdancer, which is a semi-rogue class that can do 10 foot jumps from shadow to shadow, kind of like phasing. The Blackguard is kind of an anti-Paladin. Fairly cool.
One thing I'd like to do is to have a half-elf Barbarian that focuses more on Dexterity than Strength. He'd be a wiry little nut, but he'd get killed really, REALLY quick.
"Look! It's the Half-Elf Barbarian!"
"Where?"
"See that little skid mark over there?"
"Ah... I see..."

Aramant, the shadow jumper thief sounds like shadow jack, from roger zelazney's jack of shadows novel. he too controlled the forces of shadow, an a earth that dod not rotate along its axis so half was always in light and other in darkness...
the light siders have harnessed technology but the night siders have mastered magic.
jack could jump from any shadow to any shadow, and had the forces of shadow magics at his command.

heehee, NeKr0mAnCeR, you will love TOB when you get to fight the head monk. one of his devastating moves is the "Lunar Stance"
but for a class, rather than a kit, i think "ambassador" might be a good one. like a spy, or thief abilities, with high charisma, and use any armour/weapon (limited proficiency, except dagger/racial) and to level 2 magic or poison weapon as a special ability. i think it could be an interesting class, as the difference between war and peace, the weatlh of nations, the political secrets he can glean, hang on his silvered tounge, stalking abilities, and capacity to assassinate.
oh yeah, it should be limited to pure races and not dual or multi classable.
( a kensai/ambassador would make me weep openly! )

I wonder... is Samurai and Kensai same class? New races would be cool, such as the duck-humanoid who actually exist in D&D. There should definitely be sub-races like choosing drow elf or Duergar Dwarf, maybe Kara-Tur human (Like Yoshimo style, with Ninjas, Kensais using mostly katanas, wakizashis, ninja-tos and darts). It even says in the description of the races there are usually around four kinds, but It would be even better if you could choose between them and they had their own special abilities and maybe alignment resitrictions (like no good duergar and drow, i mean drizzt is the ONLY one). No-Dachis should be two-handed katanas with 1d12+1 or 1d14 (if there is) damage.

hmmm how about a Dead Hunter , he deals +500 damage to dead enemies , it would be the most powerful class!! dealing damage to dead enemies can be devastating!! but the it would be the #1 cheese and all the kensai/sumtin fans would be very sad so its better not to make it.

I think that more of the speciality priests would be a good addition to the BG2 stable of playable classes.
Some of the Forgotten Realms dieties are alot more interesting than Helm, Lothander or Talos.
priests of Mask are my special favourite in PnP campaigns, as are some of the dwarven gods

Just remember, everyone is entitled to my opinion
what about a Shadow Mages.
-specialised in Hide in Shadows, Backstabbing
and Physical Dammage.
-with great ways to make things invisible.
- Spells like Summon Backstabber, Poison Weapon (for other people's weapons)
- And good defensises like shadow skin(invisibility and sone skin in 1)
- and ofcourse the best great spell World Domination (all chars in area must cooperate with the Shadow Mage or die )
