It is pretty good, but as with all of these things they try to diversify too much, i am quite happy to just kill wave after wave of Nazis, why do i have to kill mutated humans with Tesla guns, why do they always do that? :(
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Bigger is always better, and big and mutated is even better! I think in the end it all goes back to Indiana Jones, sure he killed a lot of nazis but then there was that mystical element as well with the Ark.

I played demo a few times. All Germans pick the Nazis side. When I choose their side I don't even know what they are talking about. They all speak German.

Mysticism is alright, but i get very bored of the way that they integrate it, the Thief series for instance had excellent integration of Mysticism, RTCW however seems to rely on it as a hopeless plot device....

I also question why i am so cynical about these things, is it the dissapointment?

i think the thing to remember with games like this is....

they are meant to be played with other peeps online...ya they may have a plot and all the stuff to persue it by yourself but they really start to shine when played with a group. I haven't played this game online, played it very lil because i'm wound up in IWD right now, i even put down ToB to play IWD ;) but in the past games like UT and TFC were my favs...hard to beat the fun a game of 36 diffrent people all going crazy can give...and when those peeps work together the games shine all that much more...IMO of course

I do appreciate that, but why couldn't they release it as a standalone multiplayer title then? I don't see a reason to bolt on a sub standard single player game.

I am being a little too harsh, it is decent enough, but i seem to have wasted my money to some degree which dissapoints me further, compare that to Unreal Tournament, i have played that game since it's release and am still playing it now. RTCW didn't even give us a deathmatch :(
