If you were living in ancient Greece which deities would you pay homage to?

I beg your pardon! I am highly deviant. How do you think I was able to get in here, anyway? ;)

I should admit that I killed Titan Clytias, son of Uranus...

Good job. I killed Baldur, which was actually harder than it sounds, since he was gifted with skin that could only be pierced by one thing--and I not only found that thing; I encouraged the most lovely, forgiving creature in all the gods' realm to throw it at him. Pretty damn sneaky, if I do say so, myself. :)

Salute Fratre et/kai Xaipe Delphos Hermatic

Thrice-Great One, you are too, my brother Trismegistus. So much we have shared. The crossroads and gateways, where we both stand. We both escort restless spirits to their proper place. And Caria will always be our home, mothered both by Ceres. Though some would say we each have Egyptian blood as well. And Magic and Devination are no strangers to you, my friend.

But you, Enlightened one. cum lingua latina me salutas. Founder of the words of speech, I know your charms

I have the advantage of having three heads and six arms. You got a much better selection of footware. ;)

LOL! Hey, @Hermetic! Better break out that copy of the Corpus Hermeticum. You've got some homework to do. :)

I've never known a fable to be so enigmatic, fable. You wouldn't want me to think from your Anatomy thread that you were a Mesoptamian blast of hot air, would you? ;) What say you?

Chairete!

@fable: ugh, it's not the Corpus Hermeticum I need but rather a Greek-English lexicon.

@Hekate: fratri in animis sumus sed non in religionibus.
My charms are more deceiving, but less spiteful. Your devotees are feared, your name spoken in hushed tones. Nonetheless I respect your gnosis. Rays of light reveal the Word across your tomes as well.

I don't know what anatomy thread you're referring to (since I don't recall ever starting one). But I won't mind just as long as you never confuse me with a certain Asiatic storm god of mountains (known by his initials--YMCA or YHVH, I think). Of course, there's much to be said for exhaling, even if it is hot air that buoys the emanations. It's the inhaling, the Big Gulp that consumes the universe, which can cause problems for all concerned. ;)
