Poll - Good versus Weasel

Post by Alienbob »

I dont know how many of you have been following our little story in hte Planar Sphere Problem thread, but i wanted to know who prefers to play good characters and who prefers to play bad.

I myself am for the force of righteousness.

As fun as it would be to play an evil character for a change, I prefer to play good alligned characters. But, then again, I'm used to the table-top game where it's hard for me to think evil as opposed to BG where it's easier for me to be evil.

Being the staunch opponent of Weasel, I'm good of course. Neutral Good. Neutral because I like to consider things from every angle and point of view. I'm thinking about playing True Neutral if I ever get BG2 working again Image. It will be interesting to play more self-centered instead of being the model of goodness. It'll be hard to balance the good with the evil, though. I guess I'll just be more cynical and apathethic, like I am in reality Image

P.S. I love the subject heading of this thread! It just has that immortal ring to it... Good vs. Evil, Good vs. Weasel Image

I perfer the good character , but the evil(Weasel) side IMHO gets to have more fun.

And look who's evil too Buck.HAHAHAHA
Yes the evil side offers so much more .HAHAHA

I play with good characters. They are good until they cant buy some items with their money. In this time my main character closes his eyes not to see Jan ...

I play good or neutral characters most of the time, never lawful tough, I need to steal. (good thing I'm not a kleptomaniac in real life Image)

The reason is very simple, I want to do as many sidequest as possible and feel the inexplainable need to help people. Especially if they're pathetic. If you're evil I think it would lean a bit to the uncharacteristic to do many sidequests since lots of them involve helping poor people who can't pay you for your services. But on the other hand, demanding all they have from them to work for them can be concidered mildly evil.

I did some test mentioned in the Goody topic and I turn out to be a Neutral Good character, which is mostly what I play.

problem with playing evil is that the game is so biased towards good

there are less evil characters, and low rep is not good at all

at least they should have made an evil town or sumthing where evil pple can get things for free and good pple have like vampires spawning to fight them

Image

thats IMHO

You know, this is what the Goody thread started out like Image 1100 posts later it's still going strong. Fear the power.
I play Chaotic Good, as I think the game is extremely biased towards good characters. My evil monk was pathetic, as I couldn't even give him 5 other evil friends!

True Neutral. That is the way I do things. Cold blooded, apathetic, cynical (Magusg, man, I think that IS the way) and with a stroooooong taste for gold.
sometimes I become chaotic neutral and then... a true madman occurs Image

BTW isn't this topic similar to Goody? At least, to what Goody has started with (right now it is a philofical forum, feel free to step in and give us some of your wisdom, ladies and gents)

I play evil always. That doesn't mean you can't have any good-aligned characters in your team! And even if you are bothered by this you can play all evil and fill in the remaining slots with neutral chars.
And remember: evil characters don't care if their actions are good or evil. If helping poor people in need benefits an evil person then he/she will will most likely help them.
Good means doing all those side-quests without caring for any reward (exp and such)!

I´ve always played a good charcter, and I very satisfied with that because so many subplots in the game involve helping and saving peolple from the hands of the dark evil... Image

Always Chaotic (sounds cool Image j/k), but I play both good and evil, usually I start with the good and then go through as a bad guy (or girl for that sake). No real preference though, but I think everyone of us has this little devil inside that comes out at times, just to do some nasty stuff Image

good dualed to evil at 9 so I can get the full benefits of evil, while still getting the benefits of good, and in the end i turn cH@0tiC N3u+R@l !

Chaotic anything. In the end it equals out to neutral.
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter

Chaotic Good. Seems more 'realistic' to me.
