Okay, I feel like the odd man out. I generally like lawful characters, though I usually tend toward good, so I have a few allies out there.
However, I recently played a druid and had fun maintaining a balance in the party, and I am currently soloing as a Chaotic Neutral assassin, so go figure.

I just now saw this topic, and I normally play a Chaotic Neutral gal myself...Though she tends to stray a bit, on occasion, from the path of righteousness that Minsc unfailingly hacks for her every day.
........And she loves it.

Satan & Others:
My 14 year addiction to PnP D&D has resulted in the fact that I play 1 of 2 ways in any given adventure/campaign/game: either immersion or pure role-play. Meaning I either take a character that has my equivalent intelligence, strength, alignment, etc, effectively dunking the "real" me into this other world (immersion/escapism), or I choose roles that would be fun to play, more frequently the former than the latter.
If the former, my real life alignment, and therefore what I play in the game: Chaotic Neutral.
If the latter: The whole spectrum, though frequently the extremes (LG & CE).
Not sure if that messes up the poll....
Satan: My longest-term character (lived for six real-life years of play) was a Chaotic Neutral Necromancer.....

Buck, there definitely is *something* about reanimating the bones from a forgotten battlefield to bind a defeated yet resurrected army to your will. Those good guys have so many ways to blast the undead. But theres always more where they came from... heh heh heh.
Warhammer Fantasy Battles with an undead army - so many memeries.

He, he! I said up there I usually play Lawful Good characters, yet on the board's story, I'm a smart-mouthed, mage-killing CN assassin. On the good side, no less!
Edit- @Weasel- are you sure you just didn't want to see you name at the top of the topic list again?

@Rail..I had forgot about this poll and was( And still are) looking for a topic someone started about making your own kits.
I found this and decided to bump it back up.
Still Weasel is something people like see when they come here right..
So I have killed two birds with one stone.

I almost always play chaotic good because that just seems to be the most natural for me. I have a hard time just wantonly killing for no real reason (except for Neeber). But I also seem to have a natural suspicion for institutions and authority which explains the chaotic side. I am currently playing a thief so I steal but only from evil creatures or institutions (I'm still not too sure about the Noble Order of the Radiant Heart).
I always think of Lawful Evil as evil through organization. Like organized crime. I like the honorable villan, predictable but intelligent.
I agree, though. NE seems to be played more often in the game than LE.
