Pernament Charisma Loss??? What?!

Post by polaris »

Guys,

This time I would *really* appreciate some feedback here. Somehow Aerie's Charisma got dropped from a starting value of 14 to a 1!! It now seems like in every other battle, if she gets hit, I see 'Charisma Modification' lowering it to zero and making her unraisable. What the hell happened?! I thought with three very well known exceptions, all stat losses of this kind were *temporary*.

Near as I can figure out, this loss happened sometime during the Umar quest.

Some HELP would be appeciated. Please do not ignore me.

Never heard of it, has to be some kind of bug. Got an older save or is it to late? Use ShadowKeeper to get her Charisma up again. Also, sometimes leveling up eliminates help.

The rod of terror has something like a 20% chance to lower your charisma by one point permanently each hit. Have you been using this?

Grim Reaper,

Oh Boy, you are correct! That *was* my problem and I missed it completely. Thanks for the info.

I can think of four...
The stat sacrifice in the slayer dream
The state sacrifice in hell
The rod of terror
Having your cute, furry animal get toasted
"Those are brave men out there, let's go kill them"

You can also permanently lose ability scores by:

Repeatedly using the Machine of Lum the Mad
Getting a bad draw from the Deck of Many Things
Jesus saves! And takes half damage!

If brute force doesn't work, you're not using enough.
