Yes, I agree this topic should be kept alive if basketball is going to make a presence. So without further ado...

Bayern vs. Man U - UGH. The two most arrogant teams in football meeting each other once again. And we fuel their arrogance by making it the most anticipated duel of the CL. We all dislike Man U, but lately I've grown to be quite hostile towards Bayern Munich. Beckenbauer talks to the press like he's above the game or something, constantly putting down German football like it should be run out of his office in Munich. He's the Kissinger of modern-day football. Anyhoo, look out for Galatasaray. They have a fiery spirit in them that Real is gonna have to quell quickly at home and avoid in Istanbul. Figo will have to be at his ball-hogging best. Any commentary on upcoming WC qualifiers?

@Xandax: Thank you very much. Image We really needed to bring that one up again. I was depressed for a month after that one.

(OK then I`ll agree. They deserved it)

Cheers all. Just wanted to wish all you football fans out there a lucky weekend for all your respected WC qualifiers. My game's not until Wednesday when Portugal meet Holland in Porto, but I'm very much looking forward to tomorrow's games.

@Karembeu- Hey man I try to keep this thread going but I think we'll have to resort to some serious spamming and leave all football talk out for it to survive. Heh

Holland vs. Andorra 5-0 . You might actually start to believe that Holland can play soccer.

@Tyrael Battlerager: Stop that whining....a win was the most important thing....not a big result.....
So what if we didn't thrash Macedonia.....at least we won and that's what counts......

@Fallout: I'm sorry to say but the Turkey vs Slovakia result was really good for us.....

Belgium-San Marino : 10 (or 11?)-1
And yet we suck good. Of course, San Marino is not actually the *toughest* opponent

It's going to be a tough battle in the end.....it'll all go down to who loses the most points against the B-nations......

I saw the highlights of the game......Turkey were very close at the end.....I think it was Kerioglü that hit the post.....

Nothing too shocking in Saturday's results, eh? Bad for Norway and Romania, though, and tough luck for Turkey but I think they're gonna have an easy time anyway. I think Rep. of Ireland are going to be a problem for both Holland and Portugal; 4-0 over Cyprus is very impressive, on the road too! Wednesday will be a day of reckoning for many people.
