clay golems
any hints for killing the clay golems in asylum dungeon 2 would be gratefully appreciated.....?!!!!!!!!
The flail of ages is probably the best weapon for the job (if not the whole game) coz it slows them down. If you havent got that any magical blunt weapon will do.
Defence is really imporatnt when fighting golems due to the nasty damage they dish out.
Equip best AC fighter with girdle of bluntness and have him or her drink a potion of absorbtion before hand as this gives the golems a penalty of -10 to hit.

Actually against Golems the crom faeyr isn't the best one at all. I brought in a high lvl Paladin to get rid of some nasty ones and he got munted by himself. Ended up using a low lvl mage running around throwing a returning dagger at him.

Here's a question on topic.
I'm in Ust'Natha and acquired a rod of smiting. It says it has a chance to kill golems with one hit (and is +10 against golems as well). But when I was in the Illithid Dungeon, I tried to kill the brain golems and was getting slaughtered. Does this thing really work?
If it does, I'd say it would be pretty handy. If I remember, crom faer only hurts some types of golems, while the rod of smiting simply says "golems".

Chrom Faeyr kills Clay and Stone golems, ettins/giants (don't remember which) and trolls in one hit (the troll thing didn't work right?).

That seems to point up a significant difference between Europeans and Americans. A European says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with me?" An American says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with him?"
I reckon that Stonehege was build by the contemporary equivalent of Microsoft, whereas Avebury was definitely an Apple circle.
