i wouldn't go so far to say i was a fan, but i do appreciate their music, the lyrics of many of their songs apply to everyday situations, not a day goes by where a line from a smiths song doesn't come into my head, why do you ask? :)
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

"What Ubik said to me at the end of the day, Caligula would have blushed"

That's very close to a line from a Smiths song,

"What she said to me at the end of the day, Caligula would have blushed. Oh, you've been around too long, she said. And I happily fled."

Ubik is a member on this forum it was a joke, i did get the inspiration for that quote from that song.

Isn't it 'naturally fled' not 'happily fled'?

Yes, I'm a big fan.

Odd, I normally listen to electronic like Frontline Assembly, Delerium, 242, etc...

And, of course, Pink Floyd :)

My favorite line is,

'Amid concrete and clay and general decay, nature must still find a way'

Morrissey is a great lyricist. If only he would team back up with Johnny Marr!

Not to bash your musical prefernce, but me i have only ever heard of pink floyd (out of your list) it is refreshing to talk to someon who doesn't listen to D12, Linkin Parj or Dr Dre :D Could you give me some specs on those bands you mentioned?

Johnny Marr did work with another band, can't remember who off hand though. I saw morrisey a few years back on Jools Holland, did a track called 'Boy Racer' still sticks with me even now after about 6 years :)

'Have you seen him go though, oh. Boy Racer, we're going to kill this pretty thing.'

Thats a pretty good song off of 'Southpaw Grammar'. Not a very good album overall, IMHO. Morrissey's best solo, again IMHO, is 'Viva Hate' or perhaps 'Bona Drag'

Frontline Assembly, Skinny Puppy, Front 242, Delerium, Orb, Orbital, you can find 30 sec clips @ www.cdnow.com

I'm sure you've heard of Nine Inch Nails? This is the same genre, more or less.

I'll have a look (when i am busy not spamming up SYM ;) ) Nine Inch Nails, (this is going to sound like a cliche) i kind of like their early work, some of those bass lines are excellent :D

Do you have any interest in any other genres, or are you a strictly one genre person?

Well, considering you now know that I like The Smiths, Morrissey, Pink Floyd, and NIN, you could safely assume I'm not stuck to one genre :)

As a matter of fact, I'm listening to Vivaldi as I tear this power supply apart ;)

Other music you've head of, let's see....

Well, that would be a long list. :)

I can say I generally DO NOT like country, rap, boy bands like Nsync and pretty much anything else played on the radio. I do like some hip hop like Beastie Boys, Tribe Called Quest, DJ Shadow, etc

What do YOU listen to, O great gamebanshee BBS Elder? ;)

Oh, and I'm tearing this PS apart to put a new fan in it. I don't want to order more today :)
