help... how do you kill a special troll?

i'm stuck at de'arnise keep, because of this annoying green little creature called special troll. how can i kill it?!?

It regenerates pretty quickly so if you are just starting out in the game I would suggest luring the critter away from the rest with a hasted character, make that character invisible using potion or spell and quite simply leave that creature for later when you feel more prepared. I do assume that you know that fire and acid damage is needed to kill of trolls when they are down so I guess you just encountered some kind of wierd bug.

"Special" troll - what a cool name that would be. "oh no, he's actually quite polite. And VERY helpful , too. It's not like he's a *normal* troll, or anything... He's one of the *special* trolls." However, I suppose you are referring to the more nastier Spectral troll, right? As with all regenerating creatures, you need to attack them heavily. The more regeneration, the more pressure. Put your whole group on one of them and that one will go down. Then go for the next one. Several Magic Missiles work fine together with fire/acid arrows and maybe a melee weapon with fire damage. Actually, you can hit them with any weapon - the fire/acid is only for finishing them off.

Do you have any clerics in your party????
If you do you can actually use "turn undead" on the Spectral Trolls.....very useful indeed. Killing a Spectral Troll will leave you with 3500 EXP points....not too bad....
