Quick Survey about Cheating in Online Games
Quick Survey about Cheating in Online Games
I'm posting this at as many of the major gaming forums as I can, because I need the feedback of as many gamers as possible. If you could take the time (it really isn't much) to fill out this short survey I would greatly appreciate it.
The story is that I am in the process of completing a project for my university course, and this is related to cheating in online gaming. I've already contacted all of the major game development companies, and now I need the feedback of you, the gamer.
The form is here on my friend's linux site. It only takes 30 seconds to complete and the feedback of anyone who's ever played a game will be relevant. Basically if your reading this forum then I need your feedback .
In addition, if you want to make any other comment then all information received will be collated, processed and squeezed into the 15,000 word report that I have to generate. I'm particularly keen to hear the experiences of anybody who's actually been in a gaming community that has been hit hard by cheating outbreaks. This is something I have been fortunate enough to avoid.
Thanks for your help!

Yep..The gaming industries have decided cheating is bad and cheaters don't deserve to play their games. If you make this list...no more games for you. The gaming industries have decided it rather make the games fair, rather that make money off selling the game to cheaters. Hip Hip Horra

Farmer: The story is that I am in the process of completing a project for my university course...
This person, or someone just like him, posted exactly the same thing about two months back on BGDungeon. I inquired why the strange wording was used, above; whether it constituted culpable deniability if anybody accused him of lying, later. ("I never told them what it was for. I only told them that this was the story I'd been given to state." He never responded.
As far as I'm concerned, he's a telemarketer in disguise, and should be sliced, diced, and chopped into small bits, to be soaked in tar and feathers, and then deposited in the United States Senate and forced to witness that august body for a year.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
