Am I the only one who only posted my favourite? As in one... you know, making it your favourite :p Maybe we have a different concept of favourite down here ;)
Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

Hehe, alright, here:

The Civilization series was started by Sid Meier and his coworker Brian Reynolds. They created the first game, Civilization, and the second, Civilization 2. All other games (Civ2:CTP, Test of Time) are just money grubbing versions by companies who got into liscensing fights (Activision and Microprose). The next game in the genre that Sid Meier released is Alpha Centauri. Also a great game, albiet it's placed in the future so technology is definately harder to comprehend.

So the true civ games are: Civilization, Civilization 2, and Alpha Centauri.

Also, the same guys who made Civ1/2 are making Civilization 3 right now, thanks to more liscensing deals. It's due to be released in October.

Picky picky :p I think the BG series is a legitimate choice... But if I had to choose, my favourite part was probably Shadows of Amn ;)

Sorry to correct you since we share the similar game preferneces but I think you mean Bruce Shelly??? NO?

@all Civ influenced pretty much every strategy and most RTS game released since '91.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Ultima Underworld (System Shock's father) since it's really a FPS (better and came out a year before Doom) with a rich rp story line.
Damn I good lookin'. My mother told me so.

how much i liked the game when i was in the middle of playing them, before they got old and boring
1. fallout 2, greatest game ever!
2.BG2: ToB (this is rapidly becoming boring, as i have completed it now)
3.unreal tourny (grrr, uninstalled it and now i cant find the CD  )
4. the sims and livin' it up (grrr, cant find the livin' it up CD now  )
5.carmagedon2:carpocaylpse now (great fun! has anyone else played it?)
And that's the bottom line, 'cos Stoner Cold said so!

Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat

I wander over where you can't see...
Inside my shell, I wait and bleed...

Not all computer games, but some of my favorites (in no particular order):

Metal Gear Solid
Gran Turismo (all 3, but especially 3)
BG2/ToB (2nd best game ever)
Tribes (best game ever)
Final Fantasy (all of them)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Twisted Metal: Black
Tony Hawk 2
The Sims
Black and White
Lars the GrimReaper, all powerful hacked sorcerer of the Shadow Mages.

Kick it!

Everyone is saying that Counter-Strike is the best team action shooter there is. Well I say **** that. I've played and all I encountered are jerks. They cuss, steal frags, cheat, ban people recklessly just because they have a weird name, and brag all the time. I just want some fun that would help me escape the real world, like UT.
