Patch

[Grimbold the Unlovely]

I have just finished the game. I used the version I bought in the store, without ever downloading any patch. I never had any major bugs or problems, yet I keep hearing references to 'the patch'. I decided not to download it because it seems to cause as many problems as it solves. What, exactly, does it solve? Has anyone else finished the game without it?

Interplay said that there was nothing major fixed by the patch when they released it. There is a read-me with the patch that gives more details.
