Best 2 Weapons of BG2
The two best weapons of BG2 are :
- Scimitar +5 Defender (Drizzt's weapon)
- Crom Fayer (War Hammer +5, grants 25 str.)
My fighter's stats (no cheats, please) :
Level 19 fighter, 175 (helm of Balduran)
STR 19
DEX 19
CON 19
WIS 8
INT 19
CHA 19
Proficiencies :
Scimitar ****
War Hammer ***
Two weapon style ***
Armor class : -18
Armor class with Crom Fayer (left hand):
-13
STR 25
Each hit makes 22-27 damage.
3 attacks per round,
4 when I use Belm +2 (Scimitar of speed)
instead of the Scimitar +5 Defender (Twinkle)
Who wants some ? :=)
Conclusion : Drizz't Scimitar +5 is really
powerful 'cause it gives +2 bonus to your
armor class. Crom Fayer is absolutely amazing.
How to obtain AC Class -18:
-Armor of the Hart (AC : -2)
-Sentinel +4 Shield (AC +5)
-Ring of Gaxx (AC +2)
-Ring of Earth Control (AC +1)
-Scimitar +5 Defender (AC +2)
-Helm of Balduran (AC +1)

Vavouras2000,
Yes, my fighter is imported from BG 1.
I don't know right now for the intelligence
bonus cause i've not finished the game yet.
Kane,
Your attack have to be successful if you
wanna use that spell. And with my AC -18..
hehehe . Try again next time. And, after
all, you need 9 round to cast that.
In 9 rounds, facind my warrior, you lose
about 100 hit points. Good luck.

The game only takes -10AC when figuring damage. There is a topic somewhere around here talking about how low you can get your AC. I cannot remember but I think -18AC is the lowest you can get in the game.

Nighthawk got AC -20 ?
I know, but you still need boots of
cursed i-don't-know-what giving AC +2 bonus.
I don't know where to find them
and i think this is a cheat only item.
These boots are however special because
they teleport you each time you see
an enemy. If somebody knows where to
find them, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Concerning AC -10 hit limit, this is absolutely wrong. And i'm sure about that.

I have a Kensai (couldn't be bothered importing my old character). Stat's aren't as good as the top, but:
STR 17
DEX 19
CON 18
INT 13
WIS 11
CHR 14
I was lucky. I got those stats on about my 8th roll. I have dual-wielded Axe +3 Frostbiter and Axe +3 Flame-something. Are there any better axes in the game? Just wondering. My AC is like, -1, but remember I'm a Kensai, and I haven't played a lot of the game.

You can lower your armour class even further (by 4 points at the most)with the bard song of the skald. I don't know if you get multiple 4's if you have more than one skald in your party and all of them singing at the same time, like this:
Nighthawk+5 Skalds=AC (-20)+ (-20)= -40!!!
Nighthawk+5 Skalds=AC (-20)+ (-20)= -40!!!

If you're willing to count spells or support characters you can get way below 20, but as Weasel says I think that's the best you can do without magic -- and that wasn't with the boots that stop you from attacking. Since -10 is all that counts there isn't a point in going beyond that anyway.
WarlockTCK: Having tested it out, I can assure you that your fighter with Crom Faeyr and Defender +5 would lose 10:0 against a barbarian with Flail of the Ages and Defender of Easthaven. The monk loses against fighter or barbarian: He doesn't have the HP to hold up in serious high level combat and his special attacks are always saved against. I'm puzzled why you're only getting 3 attacks dual wielding, you should be getting 4, 5 with Belm
BTW, MAX backstab is over 220 without support. I'm trying to figure out the max and I'm working on some screen shots now...

I find it hard to believe Nighthawk cheated to get this... If he had why doesn't he have the Cloak of Baldurn.. -10 is the lowest the game uses when figuring .I not sure but I believe you can turn on the option to watch the rolls of the dices and figure out how much it takes it to account.Originally posted by WarlordTCK:

Of course I didn't, it was using the Underdark Only Armor though. (BTW, WTCK's math doesn't add up unless he's getting a Dex bonus of 5). The original is at: http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000064.html . Using 2 Rings of Gaxx you can even do better:
-4 Base: Drow Full Plate +5 (only in the underdark)
-4 Dex Adjust (natural or Gauntlets of Dex)
-5 Shield: Sentinel +4
-2 Ring 1: Ring of Gaxx (pickpocketed)
-2 Ring 2: Ring of Gaxx (from corpse)
-1 Cloak: Cloak of the Sewers
-1 Helmet: Helmet of Balduran
-2 Defender +5:
AC -21
Outside the underdark it will go to -19 with
Armor of the Hart or Red Dragon Scale and Amulet of Protection +1 (which gives you better saves if you need them).
As far as Max AC being -10, take a look at how often Drizzt hits you even at listed AC -18. Or, take two identically equipped fighters and have them go at it and observe.
It really bugs me, but AC -10 is as good as it gets.
