..the mouse cursor lags, how can i fix that?
it's especially lagging in the backpack screens, also pretty much in the game initiation screen where you can import your characters etc.
i tried using all of the various protocols, with no effect. i just want to play this in multiplayer mode alone so i can play with an evil party :/
can anyone help me?
my hardware:
PIII-800MHz, 128 MB RAM, Riva TNT2
my settings:
550 Megs Cache, 30 fps
i am using the german version of BG2, got the patch also.

You should copy your saved game from the Multiplayer directory into the singlle player directory. And play as a single player game...This will speed things up considerably

@cas...another thing I noticed was if you use the "cheat" to get all of your equipment, it will cause a major cursor lag....(moving the mouse a little has no effect...trying to move it more causes it to jump completely across the screen)
Why I don't know....The way I fixed it was by removing Drizzt's Swords. After that the problem went away. The only thing I can think of causing this is because I had the Swords from BG1 and used the "cheat" to get them in BG2.And the game register this some how.
Disclaimer....I use the word "cheat" in very broad terms. It's your game and you can play it anyway you want to. The reference to "cheat" means pausing the game at the beginning and removing the equipment you had on in BG1 and leaving it on the floor so you can pick it up after Irenicus finishes talking.

i dont cheat so that didnt cause my problem..
i even tried re-installing meanwhile, does anyone else have this problem in mp mode? i dont know but i think this is a common problem with all german versions, and not related to my computer or software.
for example i cant play in mp mode with american users, game crashes for both parties after importing/creating a character and returning to the game initiation screen
moving the savegame to singleplayer directory helped though, thanks for that hint..
