i don't pray often.
the last time i did, was when those poor russian submariners died not too long ago. russia refuse the help of the usa and britian to resue them. i never forgave them for that.

First of all, my condolences and sympathies to the American people especially to those who have lost friends and families in these recent events of cowardice and terrorism.

My mom is in LA right now and thank God she's okay.

What pains me is to know that people have died for being just there at the wrong time, at the wrong place and definitely with no justifiable reason why they should suffer. This is not just about the Americans but for all the other people around the world who are killed with no justifiable cause,the only reason for getting killed is because one belongs to this particular country or religion, or race.

I salute the men in (service) uniform: policemen, firefighters, rescue workers and volunteers who have died due to the destruction of WTC trying to do what they do best --- helping their fellowmen. Saludo ako sa inyo.

Terrorism is not, and will never be, a justifiable mean to any end, no matter how "noble" the cause may be. They definitely have a reason for doing this, but it definitely doesn't solve any problem. It only makes things worse.

Never wake up a sleeping giant not unless you're prepared to face his wrath.

It sickens me knowing that a bunch of people are celebrating after the tragedy, shouting "God is Great!" WTF is so great about that? Innocents getting killed? Sick sense of value...

If these guys have an axe to grind with the Americans they should be man enough to face their enemy and not hurt them by killing innocent people.

I'm sure that by now, the CIA knows who the real culprit is. It's just a matter of time for retribution to commence...

...I'm not much for violence, but I'm very much for justice, regardless who the perpetrators and victims are. Hey, the Chinese, Arabs, Russians, Jews love their children too.

My heart also goes out to my Muslim brothers (I'm Catholic) who would have to put up with all these negativities due to schematic association with Bin Laden.

I think that Nostradamus mentioned about a guy in the MidEast with a red turban who's going to be responsible for the next great war... but I think it is hogwash to even think about it. Globalization has made this world a closer community. No nation would benefit from another World War. To start one is to give a death sentence to the whole human race.

Too early to make a definite assumption of who is really behind this but I do hope that justice will be served.

I have to say this. I've posted over 50 posts today. This post right here is like my 809th post. Normally, I'd be excited about it, I am a spammer after all. However, I feel no excitement about how many posts I've made. Nearly every one of these 50+ posts I've made today have been in this topic. I look at my post count and think to myself "This is not how I wanted to get these posts. It's just not right to gain such things because of something like this." I just...I can't put into words, not even in poetry, how I feel about all that has happened.

Edit: I'm exhausted and about to fall asleep at my computer, so I'm going to bed, even though I'm actually somewhat afraid to go to sleep. I still can't get the collapse of Tower 1 out of my head. G'night everyone and thanks for the support all of you who are from outside the US have shown to those of us who live in the US. The way I see it, the terrorists didn't just wake up the sleeping giant known as the US, they've woken up an entire host of sleeping giants all over the world that are ready to support the US. *wipes tears from her eyes and leaves to find her bed in hopes of a pleasent night's sleep*

It's pretty sickening to see people in Palestine are actually celebrating this. They think that the attacks have served their cause. They couldn't be more wrong.

Our lives have been deeply affected. I'm still waiting for word on friends who were there...

My deepest condolences to all those who had loved ones hurt by these attacks.

according to cnn, they mentioned the fire marshal ordered the evacuation of the pentagon. cnn mentioned details to follow. The building must still be burning strongly. anybody read anything else anywhere.

my dad's office is across the street from the pentagon and my brother's job is about 3 blocks up.

about 800 people were murdered in the pentagon with about 250 from the plane itself.

my dad has now survived/witness 3 terroist attacks in his lifetime. he hopes never to see such destruction ever again. they were sent home after the crash which was about 1000 am. they could not get home because of road blocks and the cell phones were useless. they came from about 5pm.

I didn't think I'd make it through the night, but I am here...

SS, I already have 50 posts, and wasn't even here for a week.

I went from about 9 to nearly 60 yesterday. This just doesn't... feel right. I don't feel exalted. I feel... insecure.

An update which i gather from news network :
1. Yasser Arafat denies the involvement and sympathises US - He looks very nervous when making this statement.....well I see no need to accuse his band. And we should keep our heads clear anyway.

2. Among the victims, some of them are fire fighters and reascue teams who respond after the first hit. At the rubble of WTC which stands approx 5 storey high it can be seen some fire fighter cars. My salutation for these brave men who gave their live !

3. UN pull themselves out of Afgan - Any corelation with O-Bin Laden ? And why his name always being mentioned - even Colin Powell on Fox News which now I currently seeing mention him ?

4. I remember sometime ago there's bombing attempt upon WTC. Are people who behind this bombing also behind this attack ?

5. Tony Blair evacuate from Downing street ?

6. FBI currently have 700+ leads upon this matter. And some newsnetworks says they already apprehend 5 Arabic ethnic people and from their belonging it has manual to fly plane. According to the news some of people being apprehended has UAE passport.

7. Thoughts upon plane hijacking : It's possible that the terrorist killed the stewardess and then when killed the pilot to assume control of the c*ckpit. This was taken from Fox News Network.

Final thoughts :
Please don't blame specific religion upon this matter. I heard from the news a specific religion follower in US now become very scared due this act of terrorism. They're not the ones to blame. Religion is a way for human to reach God with his/her belief. Blame the terrorists for this matter - Defy all terrorism act !

@shadow sandrock- don't feel that way, quatre wouldn't like it. that is what it's like to go through terror. we are here to give each other reasurance. we need to talk, to reach out to each other. in a time like this to isolate from the rest of the world is what those who use terror want.

Just watched some news a couple of minutes ago...came from Palestine....seams the media there are trying to put the blame on the Japanese...as some sort of revenge for Hiroshima....and people there actually believed it.... Just shows how much power media really has....

I was so exhausted that I managed to get to sleep almost as soon as I got into bed and I didn't wake up until my parents woke me up this morning. However, I'm not sure that I feel any better today, especially after hearing about a mosque in a town that is maybe an hour away from me that I go to occasionally has been threatened.

okay...arrest was perhaps the wrong term. "taken into custody" i guess would have been more correct.
but the boston hotel situation was quite a circus from what i saw on TV. i don't think it was a peaceful acquisition of the man.
