Reality Spawn

A Question for all you BG2 gamers;

1. Hyperthetically, if god came and dumped you in the BG2 world (or from BG1 for that matter) and it was real, ie not computer generated etc, and you could create yourselves as per the game (but remener this would be real life). What class/race etc would you be??

My answer would probably be a fighter, since I (and nobody else) have absolutely no concept on magic and a fighter would be very easy to do and servive (and like life you only get one chance, no reloading)

I would be a straight human or half-orc fighter. No kits or anything. This gives me access to (almost) all weapons and all armor. Half-orc would make me stronger, but I wouldn't be very sociable so I'd probably be human. That way I'm strong, well protected, and I can get people to help me easier than if I was big and green.

I would be a drow (for obviuos reasons) but a good aligned one (follower of Elistree), perhaps a Fighter/Mage Multiclass class.
- Waterdeep city constrution.

- Shadowdale low level adventure module.

- Rashmare /Thay high level adventure module.

Very tough choice.

There are 2 that I would like to be. The first is an Assassin. You could sneak here and there and remove the biggest of enemies with a single backstab.

The other would be an Archer. Theres just something too cool about having a bow! Image

If I had to choose between the two, well, I'd pick the assassin.

DISCLAIMER: By replying to this post, I in no way accept the terms that there is a god. Even hyperthetically.
Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

I'd probably end up as a monk. Being kind of out of place, I'd prefer to be the silent type. That, and I generally play PnP as a cleric, but if I got spawned in, I don't think I'd be familiar enough with the rites and prayers etc., which would be tricky in trying to get the spells when resting. <snicker>

The added bonus of being a monk would be that I'd be able to get away with being able to just stand there and figure things out, letting intrinsic saving throws cover for me until I decided what exactly was to be the most appropriate target for cross-planar buttkicking.

Interesting theory!

I guess that multi-classing would be hard to do in real life. You have to practice on your different abilities and you end up kinda mediocre. Perhaps it is easier for elves since they have such long lives and they got the time to learn different stuff.

I'd go for an elven wizard or sorceror, though sometimes the idea of being a drow is tempting...heh.

I would set up shop and become a merchant or a barkeep (hmmmm, maybe I better get somebody else behind the bar so I'd actually have something to sell Image)- better to live peaceful and charge outrageous prices for equipment.

If I were to become and adventure - I'll properly start as a fighter (naturally human, it is only IRL that I'm not humane Image), and when becoming adapt enough to stay alive for more then 5 minutes - I'll start to practice magic.
So a lvl. 7 fighter dualed to a mage Image

I'd be a human male fighter (no kit) who would train in two weapon combat Image (what can i say i've always loved two weapon combat),
Or a human male sorcerer, they literally kick ass IMO

elven mage/thief. (maybe illusionist/thief to get the extra spells, but that would eliminate any cool necro spells, so maybe not). i'd go for maximum dex and int, and would probably pump char as high as possible as well.

I would be a Bounty Hunter, probably named BoBo Fet Image

Either that or a Bard to romance the ladies and teach those ruffians some culture and manners Image

i'd choose a monk, psi, druid, or an interesting combo of the three...

monk well because other then the speed boost and such i'm practically am as good as one irl already...

psi because it's almost directly related to the mental side of kung fu/tai chi

druids... well i just love druids =)

i think a better question would be what your actual stats would be that would allow you to be certain classes. given my strength and intelligence i would put me at a fighter/mage.
I would be a serial killer if i didn't have such a strong distaste for manual labor

Chaotic good elf swashbuckler with these stats (assume 85 max roll): ST-15, DX-19, CN-13, IN-16, WI-8, CH-14.

Part of the problem, though, is that D&D stats don't translate well to reality. Examples: Shouldn't successful thieves be intelligent? I don't see how they could be good if they weren't smart. Also, it seems like very high strength and constitution would make it difficult to also have very high dexterity (you'd be musclebound).

If the rules were more diverse about minimum scores, it would make it more realistic and help discourage min/max-ing, which seems contrary to the spirit of role-playing, if you ask me.

I'm not sure what i'd be (probably a half-elf bard) but I'm sure that I would roll for a long long time...
