A war between the US and her allies vs. the Arab nations?

Anything goes... just keep it clean.

Well Pakistan is nin alot of trouble. If they don't side with teh US they're in really big trouble, but I don't think Taliban can afford to be messing with their neighbors while the US is bombing them .

I don't think bombing is an option due the terrain. It also thing that I noticed fro Fox News that the only option is to mobilise ground troops. It's logical indeed to do ground assault.
I'm not dead yet :D :p

Thanks a lot :) Very interesting reading, I had no idea that the Philiphines kept Murad for 3 months.

Information for CNN and pakistani statements, no links sorry folks but this is all live off of TV.

Pakistan will only allow the use of air space.
No land forces in Pakistan.
And no Pakistani forces will be used.
This was all on CNN.
At 12:00 pm here in Swiss.
11:00 am in UK.
6:00 am in USA.

1 :o o pm Swiss time:
Also pakistan has asked for the following.
1. For US help in Kashmir, more like back Pakistan.
2. Restructuring of debt, more like get rid of our debt in my opinion.
3. Help in the economic problems, ie get rid of the economic sanctions.
We will have to wait and see what happens.

Considering the American position, that really is a lot to ask.

Considering Pakistan's past history with the US that is more than fair.

Pakistan fought the proxy war with the USSR for the US in Afghanistan.
Our men, intelligence and money was used for the first 4 years till 1983.
Only after 1983 did the US provide money, otherwise we trained the Mujahids and our own men.

In 1989 right after the USSR left, we were slapped with sanctions for having nuclear weapons.
A huge change in a very short period of time.
Many pakistanis felt that they were used by the US.

Then in 1996 we were labelled a rogue nation, but not as high as iran or iraq.

In 1998 we were slapped with more sanctions for the Nuclear tests.

In 1999 we were again slapped with Sanctions due to our military leadership.

Now all of a sudden we are the friends of the US??
Bull****.
The US wants to take out Osama bin laden and are asking us again to do what we did for 11 years in the 80's.
This time we want something in return.

A nation should look after itself and its national interests, the basic premise of Politics and diplomacy.
That is what pakistan is doing.

Well said Fas.

However it is unlikely that the American government, will compromise to the Pakistan Government.

If they want pakistan as a staging ground, they have to.
There is no way around it.
As according to CNN, if using an air craft carrier, the planes would have to fly 700 miles to get to kabul one way.
And i think that would be very tough for the planes.
700 one say, 1400 two way.
