Picking up EQ behind the door....

Post by jdougan1 »

There is probably a simple answer for this...but....

Has anyone figured a way to pick up items that fall behind a door?

Occasionally, a corpse will fall in a "door area" - when I try to point the cursor at the corpse, I get the "open/close door" cursor, and not the "pick up item" cursor... Opening and closing the door does not seem to work if the corpse has fallen in just the right spot...

This can be really annoying - especially if you are trying to recover the EQ off of a fallen party member (after a resurection).

Anyone have a fix?

Items usually comes before doors. you can close the door since this isn't always the case.
There is another tip that actually prevents this from happening.....don't die.
This weeks health tips:

I'm not sure but I think you can pick it up by selecting the 'attack mode' when you have a character selected. (Just click the sword in the right corner and then search for the equipment on the floor. When attacking the game leaves out doors I guess... I'm not sure if that worked. It's been a while since I tried...)

Actually, I believe you can attack doors. I do that to bash them down when I don't have a thief in the party.

But that's for closed doors. Might ignore the door if it's already open.

I don't think you can attack doors if they aren't locked and if attacking doesn't help try talking to it... (yes, I always work in this order, attack first, ask questions later Image)
