Where can I get the mage lower magic resistance spell?
I am in underdark

lower resistance spell?
lower resistance spell?
Hi y'all
I don't remember where or if you can get a lower magic resistance scroll in the Underdark.
As for the Balor: I hit him hard and fast (potions of strength and speed) before he could do much damage. If you have someone in your party who can cast 'resist fear' you won't have much of a problem. Also conjuring a couple undead helps as well.
Some well-timed magic missiles will stop him from casting.
Good luck.

for the Balor, haste yourselves and kick his arse. Also, casting a Resist Fear spell and some Chaotic Commands on your main fighters can help tonnes.

There are three merchants who sell scrolls in the Underdark. One, mentioned above, is in Ust Natha right where you enter. If this drow doesn't have it there's also the merchant at the southern edge of the "Underdark" screen, and another in the Svirfneblin village.
But you should be able to beat the balor without this spell, as long as you have a resist/remove fear spell.

I've always found one of the Lower Resistance spell scrolls in the area near the ex-cultists (Unseeing Eye).
Also, the scroll merchant behind Ribald sells a copy.
