Classes

Post by GComer6574 »

I would just like to say that I think people are to obsessed with what is the best class.. I mean people, your character doesn't have to be god. I tried a Shapeshifter, agianst EVERYONES advice, and im having a great time with him, yes hes not that great but people focus on having fun and not just to have the best character out there.

I think it's a powergamer vs. role-player debate. I can understand both. Which class is most powerful? Which class is most fun? To some, they're the same question. Each class, as others in other threads have mentioned, is meant to be a part of a team. Do what you like. I had a great time with my straight halfling fighter master of shortswords as well as soloing with my assassin. Neither class should be considered the most powerful, but they were fun. Some people like the power game. To each his own. I happen to like the debate. You can learn a lot about the different classes by talking to fans of each.

Personally, I prefer playing a multiclass vinyl siding salesman/economist. You get the special spackling attack of the former with the endless series of Sleep spells that the economist provides.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Then there is the case of a human male beserker-wrestler dualled to politician. He even rose to the Governor level.
