Two rings of acuity!!! Cheese ahead. Spoilers too...

Post by UserUnfriendly »

So run thru the planar sphere quest, sand you're outside the door of his control room. have jan cast mislead and wear the cloak of nondetect, and chug two or three potions of master theivery, and pickpocet lavok. you get ring of acuity. Confront lavok, and waste him, and after he hands over the planar sphere he drops a second ring! so surprised!

Oh yeah, some more thoughts on the attribute draining attacks....keiko's wakisashi is the best!! only drains wisdom for 2 rounds, but unlike chaos and shape change mind flayer attack, it is a +3 weapon, golems, anyone?

and keldorn, or a fighter can wield it and do it with a greater whirlwind attack. sure a custom thif fighter can do the same, with chaos and use any item, but an npc usable weapon, can be used with greater whirlwind, and +3!!! might even work on uber monsters, +3 seems to be the magic cutoff for just about all the really hard to hit monsters in the game. With keldorn, use holy avenger to punch thru the stone skin, then hit greater whirlwind to drain wisdom.

Problem is that monsters get a save against the effect from keiko's wakisashi...

yeah, but think greater whirlwind! i will admit chaos and kundane dual wield and thif fighter would be best, but keiko's wakisashi is the only char draining weapon a straight fighter can use. think greater malison and possibly lower resistance. hit whirlwind, and the +3 really helps too.
