No text in TOB?!?

I just played through to ToB. Once the game made the transition for SoA to ToB I had the stupid party split bug(fixed now). Now however, no text appears in my dialog box, journal (still has old stuff but isn't updated) or new items I recieve (like the amulet the elven queen gave me). Anyone else ran into this problem? its a pain in the ass really.

P.S. where do I get the patch to continue my Jaheria romance in ToB?

Ive heard a few threads talking about his problem, try a search. One thing I have heard about is deleting files in temp and cache\data because those contain bif files, which I think are map data files.

Do a search befoer you d anything like that! Defrag was also mentioned.

It didn't work but to give you an idea of what's going on I posted a couple of screenshots at:

it may take a while to load but hopefully I can find a way out of this bug wihout having to contact interplay!!!
