I got XP home edition for my new computer that I built Dec 1st or thereabouts. I've been perfectly satisfied with it, no real problems.
I have a soundblaster Live! card and some people have said that there is some problems with Creative Labs cards on windows, has anyone had any problems? Mine seems ok so far although i'm just using default drivers.
edit - reread the original post. Haven't had any problems with game compatability but I've mostly been playing the new stuff. If you don't mind make a quick list of the games you must play, i've seen some threads on other forums that list some games that some people have had problems with.

I believe that would be largely dependent on the hardware in which the OSes are installed. XP is a friggin resource hog and if you upgraded a PIII 550 with 64 MB of RAM, yes win98 SE will run faster than XPby viagra boy
Win98 SE is faster than XP
Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.
