Nippy had little to do. What with Loner's illness and Hitomi being injured he could do nothing except wait amd wonder. He went to the window and looked out. He saw a figure in the distance, who he recognised as DW. He looked at the dark horizon and pondered the coming events.

Thantor quietly left the room, allowing Loner and Kramor their privacy. He headed back to and found that Georgi was still there, waiting for him. He sadly broke the news to her about the baby, and for a time neither said anything. Then they began to discuss their current situation, trying to make some sense of everything that had happened over the last few weeks.

Gwalchmai made good time on his return journey to the Keep. He had donated his horse to the Order of the Radiant Heart, with the promise that she would lead a happy, easy life feasting on oats and fresh grass. On foot, in the woods, Gwalchmai set a fast pace.

Anomen was back at the Radiant Heart, once more under the wing of the Paladins. Sir Ryan had gravely made it clear that Anomen must make reparations to the families of those he had hurt or killed while under the influence of evil, but he had also insisted that Helm understood Anomen’s situation, and there were no recriminations. Anomen had seemed almost ebullient. Once again a favored son of Helm, he had reached some sort of epiphany. He understood that his time with the Harem had focused too much on carnal delights, and not enough on the pursuit of Justice. His self-centered self-loathing that was the result of his father’s influence had caused him to reject, in a way, the love and friendship offered by the Dark Flames. He resolved to never again miss an opportunity to make good friends of the good people he met. With that, he hugged Gwalchmai fiercely, then complained about how the leather armor Gwalchmai had leant him was not befitting of a member of the Order. Gwalchmai was sure that it wouldn’t be long before Anomen would regain all of his old self-confidence, in all its overbearing magnificence.

As Gwalchmai neared the Keep he noticed someone lurking around the perimeter. The dusky light and distance obscured the shadow’s features, so Gwalchmai thought caution would be in order. He crouched and crept through the forest, trying to get a closer look. Confirming his suspicions, the shadowy figure also crept, and managed to disappear from Gwalchmai’s sight. He continued looking for the sneaky person, and finally caught sight of its cloaked back, just a few yards away.

**********

Dragon Wench breathed in the cool night air, pulling her cloak tightly around her. Suddenly, she saw someone approaching through the forest - someone who was crouched and cautious. She quickly slipped into the cover of the trees, and moved to the place she thought the possible intruder might have gone. As a precaution, she silently drew her sword, her senses keen and alert. A small, almost imperceptible noise behind her betrayed the intruder’s position. She waited a heartbeat for the intruder to approach closer, then she whirled around with a powerful, inevitable, unstoppable stroke of her sword aimed at the intruder’s heart.....

As she spun around, her sword deadly and fast, Dragon Wench plunged her blade towards the intruder's chest. At the same moment she found herself assaulted by a swarm of biting insects. Furious, she cursed druids in general, and briefly wondered where Gwalchmai was. Then, just as her sword made contact with leather armour, she heard a familiar grunt. Horrified, she drew back her sword, and shouted, "Gwally it's me!" Just then, an odd nasel voice seemed to be emanating from Gwally's semi-sentient club; perplexed she paused to listen.

Dragon Wench looked at the tip of her sword, and saw the club impaled on the end. "Take the ball, coach. I got nuthin' left!" the club wheezed.

"Can I have my club back, DW? Or do you want to try to kill it some more?" Gwalchami said, with his hands on his hips and tapping his foot.

@ Nippy Scheduling conflicts I think :( I'm on my work stretch, Dp is doing some training for his job, Viv per her post is camping and I'm not sure if Dw has internet at home right now.
Why don't you work up a plot outline or the general direction you want the tarrasque plotline to go in and post it in the discussion thread so everyone can work on what they want to do?

OOC: For myself, with the beginning of the school year my publishing company has kicked into high gear. Plus I will be going on vacation in five days, so there is a lot to get done, both in my practice and with my other project, before that occurs. :)

DW will not have a regular internet connection until Sept 19th at the earliest.

Dragon Wench, faintly embarressed, managed to withdraw her sword from Gwally's club.

"Welcome back," she mumbled, kissing him lightly on the cheek.

"Don't worry about the club, my friend," Gwalchmai said with a big grin on his face. "A little cork, a few healing spells, and it'll be as good as new. Maybe better!" With that, he embraced Dragon Wench in a big bear hug that threatened to crack a few ribs in his enthusiasm. "I know its only been a few days, but I sure missed you! All of you!" His face turned darker as he looked away, "I hope everything is alright at the keep. My dreams of late have been quite... disturbing. What have I missed?"

"We've all missed you, Gwally," said Dragon Wench as she returned his hug. Her face then clouded as she told him about Loner losing the baby.

Gwalchmai felt his heart fall. His first reaction was to curse himeself inwardly for being absent during such a critical time. But, he knew that Thantor and T'lainya were both clerics and healers, and if they could not save the baby, then there was nothing he could have done. He heaved a great sigh, and followed Dragon Wench back toward the keep, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Dragon Wench gazed quietly at Gwalchmai. Finally she replied, measuring her words with care, "I'm not certain that there is much that can be done to help; just being there if they need the support is probably the most that any of us can do. Perhaps later, maybe some kind of a healing ritual could occur......"

Dragon Wench's thoughts turned inwards once more, and she contemplated the strange images that had been manifesting themselves in her recent dreams.

When Darkpoet went to see Kramor. Kramor told Dp, that Loner and him. Where going to help Nippy. Then Kramor, told Darkpoet that he was in charge of the Keep while he was gone. The two talked for a bit more, then parted. Darkpoet headed for the underground passages to the large library. Pouring a bit of Elvin stout, sitting down and staring into the fire. Darkpoet wonders how, he is suppose to be in charge??

As the light plays tricks in the shadows, the fog slowly creeps along the valley. On the ridge to the West, with the sun to their backs. An army stands in waiting; a battle is about to be fought. The sun reflects off the black armor, as more troops, move into position.
Standing on a large boulder, Te’gar stood watching his army prepare it. He watched the shadows of the Black Archers, as they got into position. Te’gar, hoped that Menadir and the scouts of the Black Archers, warned the Elvin villages in the path of the Drow army. The dark bastards are on their way, bent on destruction and death. At the rear of the line, Elvin Clerics, waited for the wounded to be brought to them, when the battle started. Sorcerers and Mages positioned themselves away from the main battle lines. Readying them to release spells on the Drow.

Te’gar, watches his scouts, ride in giving reports. “Not, too much longer.” He thought. Running his hand over his face, searching for any mistakes, as he ran the battle plan through his head. He signaled for the skirmishers to go forward. Te’gar watched them melt into the fog, listening for any sounds of fighting. The sound of battle rang loud in the air, the colors from the Drow spells glowed in the fog. Skimmers hers, quickly tried to run back to the main lines. Only to be cut down, by Drow Calvary. Te’gar, watched as his cavalry, charged towards the Drow. The sound of man and beast, with the ringing of steel, melted as one. The screams of the horses and wounded, filled the air. Explosions from spells fill the air, throwing man and horse or pieces of them into the air. Arrows filled the air, as archers from both sides, picked their targets.

The main ground forces met in the middle. The shouts from both sides, turned into grunts as they clashed together. They stabbed and slashed, each other with swords, pikes, spears, halberds, and shields. The wounded, slowly walked back to the rear of the lines, or died where they fell. Spells ripped huge gaps into the lines of both armies, throwing blood everywhere. The battle went on well into the night, Te’gar and his officers, watched in silence. Spells flashed in and over the battlefield, causing chaos, on both sides. Line after line went in the battle to kill or be killed.

As the sun, started to show in the horizon. The Drow pulled back slowly, Drow arrows flew thickly in the air, to cover the retreat. The Elvin army held their ground and watched the Drow leave. The coppery smell of blood, hung heavy in the air. Just as the stench of burnt flesh. The sound of the wounded, reached the heavens. As Drow and Elvin, cried out to their God. Only to die silently, alone, on a cold and distant battlefield. Te’gar knew this was only the beginning and time was running out. “But, for who?” he wondered.

In another part of the land, a large Drow raiding force, headed to an Elvin city. Moving quietly and swiftly, the Drow took out the sentries. Teshana, pointed to her soldier’s, were she wanted them to go. Leading her horse to the edge of the woods, Teshana launched fireballs from her fingertips. “This should bring the rats out of their dens.” She thought, with her red eyes glowing. As the Elves, came running out of their homes. Drow archers, cut them down where they stood. A call rang out, that the city was being attacked. “Time to get to work.” Teshana told her horse. Pulling out her sword, she nudged her horse forward. Cutting people down, with a single swing of her arm. As Teshana, moved along, she spotted her target. A tall human male, he looked just like his son. Teshana, spurred her horse forward, charging at the man.

Jelaric, heard the call, grabbing his weapons and shield. He made his was out of the house cautiously. “Drow, I should have known. But, why here? This city has no strategic value.” Jelaric wondered. T’alas, joined his father, as did his mother and sister. Caladriewien and her daughter T’owiel, aimed carefully with their bows. Dropping their targets, then looking for more. More Drow, came out of the wooded area, charging in the citizens. The Drow were driven back as the Elves, started to form defenses and getting organized. T’alas, felt his mother lean on him, and then slowly sink to the ground. “T’owiel!! Help mom, she’s is hurt.” T’owiel turned, to look at her mother. Kneeling down, seeing arrows in her mother. One in the upper thigh, one in the side, the other was in her back low. As T’oweil, went to pull the arrow out of her mother’s side, she felt a hot stabbing sensation, in her side. She turned to look, she saw a Drow arrow, gritting her teeth. T’oweil, pulled out the arrow, when she had finished. An arrow glanced off the side of her head, knocking T’oweil out.

Caladriewien, felt her daughter fall across her legs. Not knowing if she was dead, she tried to find out. Caladriwien started to feel sick, “No, not now.” She thought as she blacked out. T’alas, had a sinking feeling, seeing his mother and sister. Lying on the ground, bleeding. He wasn’t sure if they were dead, “Dad, we have a problem, mom and T’oweil are down. I can’t tell if they are alright. T’alas’s eyes hazed over as he tried to control his emotions. “I know T’alas, we will check them in a bit. There is a group of Drow, heading this way. I wish your brother, was here, we could use him. Menadir, said he would bring him back.” Jelaric, saw Teshana charging at them, turning sideways to make a smaller target. He blocked Teshana’s swing sword, he prepared for her again. “Sh!t!!” Teshana muttered in her language, as she turned her horse. This time she would do something different, Teshana pulled out a small dagger. Gripping the horse with her knees, Teshana charged at Jelaric.

Jelaric watched as the Drow female, turned and headed back to him. Turning sideways he waited for her, as she got closer. Jelaric saw her arm move, something hit him the in the side. He grunted, turning to his son, only to see T’alas face down, with arrows sticking out of him. Jelaric felt a pain in his chest, his heart pained to see his family, lying on the bloody ground. Wiping the tears from his eyes, he turned to the Drow female. Jelaric watched, as she dismounted, and started to walk forward. Teshana, removed her helm, she was glad the sky was overcast. As Teshana approached Jelaric, she could see his weakness for his family. Much different than his son, who at one time was her prisoner? She was angered by the fact he escaped. Teshana, personally killed the weak male guards, for letting him escape. Teshana smiled as she walked to Jelaric, her red eyes glowed with confidence.

Jelaric was stunned to see the Drow female, her beauty was overwhelming as was her ferociousness. Cradling her scimitar, on her arm, Teshana stopped. “Are you Darkpoet’s father?” Jelaric was surprised at the question. “Yes, is he dead?” Teshana smiled, “no, but he will wish he was, when I find him. Tell me, where he is.” Jelaric shook his head, “I don’t know where he is. He was suppose to be here, soon. Why do you want hi………..” Jelaric didn’t even see Teshana move, looking down he watched as the scimitar, was pulled out of his chest. As Jelaric, dropped to his knees, a lone tear, slid down his cheek. “Darkpoet, be safe where ever you are.” Is Jelaric’s last thought, as his face hit the ground. Teshana wiped her blade on Jelaric’s tunic, turning him over, with her boot. She stuck her amulet, into Jelaric’s forehead. Teshana turned and headed back to her horse. As Teshana mounted her horse, she let out a piercing whistle, and then rode back into the wood. With the rest of her raiders, following.
