Darkpoet looked up at T’lainya and smiled. “Here taste this, let me know if this is okay, to feed the others?” Blowing on the spoon of stew, he handed it to T’lainya; he watched her face, as she tasted the stew. T’lainya shook her head, “It’s perfect, it will be fine for the others. How much longer will you be?” Darkpoet wiped off his hands on a towel and gestured to couple of helpers, he watched as they began to serve those in the courtyard. Turning to T’lainya, “what’s up? Did you get your list done?”

(OOC) Loner and Kramor if this interferes with your plans let me know and i'll chang it. :)

“As much as I can.” T’lainya told him. “There’s some items I’m going to have to prepare, but it shouldn’t be a problem. The herbs are a different matter. Some are rare and don’t last well. They’ll have to be gathered fresh.” T’lainya moved closer to Darkpoet. “We seem to have gathered some more allies.” She whispered to him.
Looking up suddenly she asked, “Where was Nippy going in such a hurry?” She was rewarded by the guilty looks on Loner and Kramor's faces. Lomoro was unperturbed.
The woman sitting with them quietly bit her lip and tried to look inconspicuous. T’lainya looked carefully at all of them, her sharp gaze settling on Lomoro. Some silent communication passed between them, which left the priestess shaking her head. She walked forward to hug Loner and deftly slipped 2 small flasks into her pack. “You’ll need these, they are powerful. The first flask has 5 doses of a powerful healing potion, stronger than the extra healing potions that you can get. The second flask contains a brew that will render you harder to hit. Go with my best wishes.”
T’lainya straightened and clasped Kramors arm. "Be careful.”

The rythmic scrape of steel whispered harshly in Dragon Wench's room as she sharpened her sword to a fine edge. Pausing, she ran her finger along the lethal blade, and thought about the many lives that it had vanquished. The screams of dying foes echoed inside her head, and she swallowed hard at the memory.
As she gazed through the window, the sounds and smells of cooking drifted upwards, and she heard the buzz of conversation emanating from the kitchen. Feeling curious at the sound of unfamiliar voices, she wandered downstairs. Noticing Vivien in one corner she smiled over to her and raised a questioning eyebrow.

Darkpoet put some stew into a bowl and went over to the female Elf. “Here, you look like you could use some food. Help yourself, if you need more.” Darkpoet walked over to T’lainya, he slapped Kramor on the back. “You all be careful, I don’t want to have to go out and find you. Are you ready T’lainya?” She nodded and the two left the Keep. Darkpoet and T’lainya, walk over to the castle, to find Ria’ya. They both hoped that, the book was on the money, as to resurrecting Ria’ya, and if she wanted to be resurrected. Darkpoet was in awe of the size of the castle, and how quickly it was repaired. He also wondered where Teshana was; he didn’t trust her in just leaving. He was starting to get a bad feeling, and he didn’t know what it was. T’lainya looked over at Darkpoet, she noticed that he was studying the tree line on the hill. “You thinking about Teshana?” She asked. Darkpoet nodded his head, “I don’t trust her in just leaving, and from now on you watch your back. She is not the nicest female, I have ever met.” T’lainya nodded, and then mumbled something about Teshana that Darkpoet couldn’t hear. He knew what she mumbled about, he saw it in her eyes, and the shade of green was almost alluring. He hoped she didn’t go off by herself after Teshana, but he wisely didn’t press the matter.

{BTW i am still building while trying to find appropriate plot line :) Hope you like it so far :) this opne is short might write more later :) }

There was only really one place in the slums for his sort. The Bikers Moll {ysh I told you I would ;) } I made my way there as quickly as was possible without being totally conspicuous, the men of this area would notice me if I was hurrying anywhere. I had to be cautious in my approach.

The building loomed large, it was of archaic design but there had been many improvements made, after all this building was the main focal point of an entire region. The amount of money that had been thrown at this building still astonished me - if only i could be backed like this tavern was.

I decided to take up position in the house across from the tavern and wait....

Vivien smiled at Dragonwench, feeling relived to see her again. With all the bustle, it was nice just to see old friends, even though there were new faces amongst them. The new elven woman appeared slightly confused, and Vivien made another mental note to see if there was anything that she could do to help. She waited expectantly for the Darkpoet’s attention in the corner of the room, but soon realized that she needed to be quicker as he soon rushed with T’lainya from the room. With a sigh, she smiled apologetically at Harry and sat down at the table, putting stew in front of herself and him, beaming as Dragonwench sat beside them.

“Well, first things first, introductions. You are new here, and welcome. I am called Viv.” She said to the elven woman, and soon learned that the strange new woman was called ‘Yshania’, a name that Viv had to roll over her tongue several times to get the feel of.

“The man beside me is Harry, and I believe he will be quite useful, as he may know where the drow are based.” Viv said with her usual cheerful voice, not seeiming to notice the others watching Harry with new surprise. As she took her first sip of stew, there was a slight bustle behind her, and she turned to see Jennabard entering the kitchen. Jumping up to get her a seat and some soup, Viv paused to look out the window, idly wondering where Gwally was.

The day seemed to be going my way; the building was empty, it appeared to be for renevation, there was a great deal of equipment lying around which logically dictated builders. I shrunk back into the shadows, ready for the rendezvous. It will be more than an hour till they arrive i would have to stay sharp. I must be prepared for anything.

For the first 15 minutes this was easy, but gradually the stagnation of movement was startent to stiffen my joints.... i had to allieviate this , i slowly flexed my muscles in an effort to keep them alive and ready... not shortly after i had started these excercises i spied a man who looked out of place in the the grimy pit of iniquity.

That it always the thing about these types, they pretend to be better than they are. This one stuck out like a saw thumb, his cloak was to expensive and his hair too well cut, he walked as though he sat in luxury, there was no lurch. This was obviously the scout who was trying to better himself by running an errand, i decided to wait, the more important man would appear later.... i knew it.

The sawthumb leaned against the wall, trying to blend in, and failing, he was not happy with his surroundings, he hadn't been properly trained, this knowledge alone gave me an advantage, i knew they had weakeness they were not a unit, they were lead by one strong man, who was also not very sklilled in education, this young man should be at least skilled enough at 19-22 to blend into a crowd entirely. We shall see if my musings were to proove true or if i was i assuming too much.

The kitchen was starting to crowd, all of a sudden, Yshania glanced from face to face…feeling awkward and suddenly unimportant. Were these people the Dark Flame?

One of them, a man, stopped before her and smiled.

‘Hello’ he said, before crossing to the stove and starting to prepare food. Yshania felt a vague sense of familiarity but could not place it so she dismissed it. For now. As she watched the man at work, admiring his deftness with a knife, she observed a priestess approach the man and put her hand on his arm. Yshania did not catch what she whispered but only sensed gentleness from her.

‘Where was Nippy going in such a hurry?’ the priestess turned and asked the room. No-one responded, but it soon appeared that the priestess had had enough of an answer. Yshania watched as the priestess hugged Loner and passed her some potions, then touching Kramor’s arm she wished him well.

At that point, Yshania noticed a flame haired mage enter, accompanied by an elf.

'Well, first things first, introductions. You are new here, and welcome. I am called Viv.'

Yshania smiled at the mage. ‘Yshania’ she offered. Yshania noticed a small frown cross the mage’s brow before offering ‘it is a strange name I know, my mother was a Sylvan elf…she travelled across the water from Arkania before I was born’ Yshania smiled as the mage relaxed

'The man beside me is Harry, and I believe he will be quite useful, as he may know where the drow are based.'

Yshania stiffened, studying the male elf before her…she felt Loner, Kramor and Lomoro watching her. At that point, the man she thought she recognised from somewhere approached with a bowl of stew…

'Here, you look like you could use some food. Help yourself, if you need more.' He smiled, but suddenly she was not hungry.

Yshania felt Loner’s eyes upon her, she glanced up, the stew bowl still in her hands. ‘Come’ said Loner ‘I will take you to the stables’

Kramor,Lomoro and Yshania followed Loner out of the kitchen, Yshania acutely aware of the eyes that followed them and the heavy silence they left behind. To herself she wondered the origins of the elf, and the origins of the kind man who offered her food.

Approaching the stables, Loner warned that the only steed they had available for Yshania was a flighty one ’He is headstrong’ she said, sliding back the bolts ‘he is normally only taken out as sport and usually very quickly returned’

Yshania gazed at the great black stallion before her ‘what is his name’ she asked

‘Hunters Moon’ replied Loner, herself admiring the great beast.

‘He is beautiful’ mused Yshania, stroking her hand down his silken flank. The horse skittered, scraping the dusty floor with his hooves. It snorted and thrashed it’s head then snorted again. Yshania jumped back, a little startled. ‘ok’ she said ‘are we ready?’ Loner smiled, the smile wavering, then turned and walked back to Kramor…

Sitting down with the bowl of stew beside the two human ladies, Harry silently took in the appearences of the strangers. He could see a lot of worry and and grimness that comes with a difficult or dangerous task.
Then Viv said 'The man beside me is Harry, and I believe he will be quite useful, as he may know where the drow are based.' and Harry returned the sudden interest in him with a level gaze before Yshania and 2 of the strangers left the room in a heavy silence. Harry wondered where they were going before being distracted from his thoughts by the entry of another attractive human lady and Viv moving to the window.

T’lainya walked on, her mind unsettled. A slow fierce anger had been building all day. She had seen the wounded and her heart and soul screamed for their pain. She ached for the way the drow warped and perverted the ideals the Tel Quessar held so dear. The anger she felt towards the drow coalesced into a single image; Teshana. As a priestess T’lainya was concerned with life and the well being of the people. She harbored no love for drow, and little patience for any who enjoyed inflicting pain and suffering. She knew Darkpoet was concerned for her. She had no intention of hunting the drow scout unless it became necessary. Her way was clear, she would do what she could to prevent more deaths. She thought of her cousin and his troops. The followers of grim Sheveresh were brave and tended to die young, the promise of their lives gone in the thrust of a sword. She worried sometimes that they, and the demigod they revered would become twisted by their own hatred. That however was something to ponder later. Right now she had work to do. She took Darkpoets hand, warmed by his courage and compassion. They reached the great doors leading into the rapidly rebuilding castle.

Ria’ya met them at the doors of the castle, the look on her face, Darkpoet wondered if she already knew, why the two of them were coming. Ria’ya led Darkpoet and T’lainya, to a room upstairs of the castle. In the room, laid two skeletons. Darkpoet explained to T’lainya, where Ria’ya was laying and the other skeleton was her husband. He also told her, who had killed them and why. Ria’ya stood above her skeleton, a tear rolled down her cheek. T’lainya showed Ria’ya the book and what she had proposed to do. T’lainya also told what herbs was to be needed, Ria’ya smiled and showed T’lainya, two large book cases full of herbs. “Will this help?” she asked.

Kramor looked grim. "Loner," he said softly, taking her arm a bit more firmly than usual. He led her outside.

Loner tried not to notice, but it was all around: the smoke from the recovery camps clouded the air, carrying the pungent scent of burning herbs and purifying fires. The cries of the wounded and dying reached her ears. She was screaming inside; enough was enough...

Kramor turned her to face him. "Knock it off," he said.

Loner, honestly confused, replied: "Knock what off? What are you talking about?"

"You know very well what I'm talking about," he answered. "You know that's Darkpoet's horse."

He stood silent, unwilling to state the obvious any more than he already had. He only looked at Loner with reproach in his eyes.

"Yes," Loner said. "It's the only one we've got."

"Come on, Loner. I know you. I know the look you get in your eyes," Kramor said, trying hard to sound serious and ignore how amazing those dark eyes were. Loner knew he was trying to ignore it, and stifled a smile.

"You don't trust this Yshania," Kramor finished.

Loner's jaw dropped. "I can't believe you're saying this to me," she said. "Are you suggesting...All right, you're right, I don't trust her. You know I don't trust anyone until they prove themselves. But I would never say 'Oh, here's a wild horse, hope you break your neck'!" She was indignant. Her voice was rising. "I thought you knew me," she said, her voice choked by a rising knot in her throat.

Kramor's hand was still on her arm. She broke away from him, stalked back to the stable, grabbed her horse, and rode some distance off to wait for the others. She was going to say Fine, give her your horse then, and you stay here. Where you'll be safe. Why hadn't she said that? Hot tears were forming behind her eyes. Perhaps from the smoke coming over on the breeze, she thought.

"Damn it, not now." muttered Kramor. As he watched Loner, stomp off and ride away. He walked over to his horse and led it over to Yshania.
"Here Yshania, this mare is a little more trusting. I'll take the hammerhead roan. Nippy, go on up ahead, Loner and I will catch up in a bit."

Nippy nodded his head and lead the other three towards the trail. Kramor climbed on Hunter's Moon, road off towards Loner. As he approached her, he forced himself to calm down. But, as soon as he was beside her, she took off. Kramor saw red, kicking the horses flanks, he chased after her. Hunter's Moon, loved to run, he peeled off after Loner and her horse. Catching them quickly, enjoying every bit of it. Kramor jumped at Loner, knocking her off the horse. The both of them, tumbled on the ground, Kramor pinned Loner to the ground.

"I do know you, I also know something is bothering you. Especially, when you act like a spoiled little child. Do I need to punish you, too? Now, tell me, what is bothering you?"

Kramor sat up, trying to catch his breath. Loner also sat up, staring at Kramor. He saw her eyes were even darker, with fear on the edges.

Nippy lead the three on and upwards to the trail to the main road. The horses slowly crept upwards to the trail, the route becoming increasingly rocky and dangerous. Nippy eased his horse off the trail and waited for the other two. Kramor and Loner had been a little while...

Loner wished she could go off and meditate somewhere.

This -- the two of them facing each other this way -- was eerily similar to their first meeting, seemingly so long ago, when Kramor in the throes of a nightmare had pinned Loner down and unwittingly tried to strangle her. She had looked on him then with fear and confusion. Now anger was in her heart. Being knocked down and caught too off-guard to react in time was bad enough; but if there was one thing Loner could not take, it was being called, compared to, or treated like a child.

"Do you honestly think I would do that on purpose?" she asked in a harsh whisper. "Put someone in danger, who showed no sign of being my enemy -- even if I didn't quite trust them? You must not know me as well as you suppose, if you think that. That is what hurt me."

Loner was shaking with anger, heartsickness, and terror at the task ahead. She knew what was going on. Yes, she was angry over this; but the real source of her anger lay much deeper. She was trying to distance herself from Kramor, to pull back from her feelings, her connection with him, in case...

She didn't finish the thought. She only dropped her eyes to the ground, rose and walked away a few paces, trying to get herself under control.

Kramor, got up off the ground.

"Hey, wait a minute. I never said, you would do it on purpose. If you are scared, good, so am I. What you think you are the only one scared here?? I have never met a tarrasque, I have heard of them. Not to mention, the Drow are running all over the place. Loner, we have to work together. Loner....come on. We have to do this and it is the only way."

Kramor walked up to Loner, putting his hand on her shoulder.

At the touch of Kramor's hand Loner lost control of her emotions. All the anger and fear that had been building in her suddenly roiled to the surface. She covered her face and fell to her knees, weeping. I know I'm not the only one scared, I know all this; but I feel someone is not going to come back this time, and I can't lose you, Kramor. You are my life. But the words would not come, only racking sobs.

Kramor knelt beside Loner, pulling her to him. "The only one who won't be coming back is the tarrasque. You shouldn't let this eat you up inside. If I don't come back, then it was my time. It goes for you and anyone else, who are traveling with us. It's the way of life, beings are dying and being born everyday. Hey." Kramor gently lifts Loner's face to look at her. He gently wipes her tears, "You are a warrior, you took an oath. Just as Nippy, Darkpoet, Lomoro, me and many others who are here or have died, these past few days. Yes, it's painfull to loose a loved one, but as warriors, we have to push those thoughts aside. If we don't, we might as well not go anywhere and hide in the ground." Touching his forehead to Loner's and looking into her eyes, Kramor smiled. "When we get back, you will see that it will be better. So come on, the others are waiting."
Kramor stood and pulled Loner to her feet...
