SPOILER!!!!! Is it really possible to defeat him in a battle? He is Demogorgon after all. Is it worth trying 15 times in a row? Any tactics?

Are you fighting the improved version, or the regular one?
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

I don't know the difference. I never loaded any patch since I was mid SOA sometime ago.

Then you are fighting the original since the tougher is a tweak downloaded off baldurdash...yes he is beatable. My strategy has been to have my magic users continually cast pierce magics and remove protections at him while my front-liners swing away. Lower Magic Resistance can be used if you don't have Pierce Magic memorized (after you remove magic protections). Whatever you do, you must focus all attentions on the Demogorgon. Killing demons will just result in more being summoned. You can finish off his minions after you take care of him. I also use a planetar with Globe of Blades and a prince elemental.

hahaha Demogorgon is so piece of cace. 3 tries with my solo sorc and with my "normal" party of 6 I beated him on my first try.

Put as many traps as you can. Rest if necessary. Putting 7 normal traps (7 traps per are is the limit) will get him to badly injured. Before you release him, beef up your fighters and summon some good pets to help you out. When you release him, immediatly cast breach or similar protection remover. Also use improved wihrlwind with your fighters and he should be dead in no time.

Man, you people are way to inventive in trying to kill demogorgon. Why dont you try the cleric spell........bolt of glory..10d6 versus demons and it worked on demogorgon every time with me and I never lowered his magic resistance.
