I don't know if anyone has experienced this, but Stale Mary simply refuses to tell me about the portal to the Silent King. Thus, I never completed the Silent King quest.
Is this a known bug, or am I the only one with this weird problem?

Hi Fatale.
Have you spoken to Hargrimm earlier about the Silent King? If you have, then Stale Mary will not speak to you about him. The two are mutually exclusive!
I have played the game twice and have installed the patch -- thankfully no bugs.

If I remember correctly, you need to have at least 15 or 16 Charisma for Stale Mary to tell you about Silent King. There is an Alcove in the church where the portal is. The surprise is that you won't be seeing Silent King at all but...
OK I won't spoil it too much!
Good luck, and let us know what happens next.

Actually, I finished PST last month, and I realized I forgot all about the Silent King after reading the GameBanshee walkthrough ... oh well, off to Sigil again!

Aah, therein lies the replayability of Planescape Torment!
If it's any consolation, I missed more than just the Silent King; I couldn't find the use for Lim-Lims, among other things. Anyway, I had no regrets going thru it a second time.
Have fun!

It's well worth playing through PST as a mage, with the amount of conversation and puzzles, a high Wisdom, Intelligence and Charisma make it a lot more fun
*Lim lim spoiler*
You can get your Lim lim turned to stone by one of the prostitues in the Intellectual Lust Brothel. For what purpose, I don't know, but it's mentioned specifically.
Actually, I'm sure the time I took my Lim-lim to her, she wouldn't turn it to stone (no conversation option), but unfortuntely this time my Lim-lim ran away, and I can't buy another.
