some questions(again)

Please do not read any further if you haven't finished Torment yet. It might spoil the game for you!

I finished the game a couple of days ago and I don't know if I missed something or did something wrong but I'd like to know the following things:
---what did the Nameless One do to deserve a place in the Lower Planes (what were those evil deeds)?
---what is his name exactly?
---during the final conversation with his mortality, can the Nameless One "unmake" himself simply by believing it enough (does that depend on wisdom)?
---could the Nameless One actually return to Sigil through a portal on the Lower Planes or is he truly dead?
---what happened to Deionarra's vision of her and the Nameless One reuniting in the afterlife?

Thanks for any info!

We don’t know. The only hints are in the opening movie. It’s open to interpretation.

We don’t know that either. They kept it a secret. (the bastards :D )

Hmmm, don't know about that one. You can convince him to merge with you or kill him, but that's all I'm aware of.

I think he’s going to be paying for his considerable sins for quite awhile (both the ones he committed as a mortal and the countless others by his various incarnations)
---what happened to Deionarra's vision of her and the Nameless One reuniting in the afterlife?
Wishful thinking? Your guess is as good as mine! :D
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

What the Nameless One did was to set his mortality aside, and absorb destroy the mortality of another person everytime he died. Whether or not this was a sufficient crime to merit the Lower Planes, several of his incarnations were also ruthless and manipulative, or paranoid killers.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

@fable, He did something else before that, something so terrible he thought he needed to be immortal in order to have enough time to atone for his sins. Unfortunately this backfired horribly, since he not only lost his memories (and the chance to atone), but some of his various incarnations committed deeds almost as bad. Not to mention source of his immortality, which you refered to: that someone else would take his place whenever he died. The poor guy was doomed from the beginning. :( What can change the nature of a man indeed... Regret. (the Nameless One's original answer) *sigh*

@Kayless, you're right--I stand corrected. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll find out anymore anytime soon, since the game didn't sell well for Interplay, and I doubt they'll be producing a sequel. :(

It’s really sad since Planescape is such a terrific game. Much of what made Shadows of Amn great was learned from Planescape Torment. It deserves a sequel of some kind at least as much as Baldur's Gate. What can change the nature of game? :(

I hope they don't do a sequel. It would couldn't live up to the original. Interplay should just incorporate the storytelling elements into new games.
