Mechanus' Cannon and Abyssal Fury are both pretty cool, and can do major damage. I guess it's just a matter of taste, and what you can use via scroll or memorization. The only mage that I have who is high enough to use these is Ignus, who I have to face in the Fortress anyway, so why waste the scrolls right?
BTW, what do I do with the jug monster? I mean, almost everything else in the exotic wares in the curiousity shop has a use around the clerk's ward. Why not this thing?

You can never hope to grasp the source of our power. We are forever.
Missile of Patience, I think it was called. Very fun spell, once you got enough levels to make it useful.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
And you know, Magic Missile was still fun. I suppose that's because the damn spell was resisted so often in BG2 that I actually welcome *any* game which let's MMs do their proper task.

Celestial Host was the most complex and long, but did very little damage to the Transcendent One. I found that Abyssal Fury and Deathbolt are fun too...
