Need help getting music

Post by Zelgadis »

I'm trying to get the music from torment for my sister, she likes it alot, and i found where the files are, but non of th emusic programs i have can play .mus files, any suggestions?
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

I think you can buy it from the Interplay store, i am not sure how one extracts the music from the game, i am not sure there is a way :(

You can download the program "Game Audio Player", which plays the sounds of many games, including all BGs, Diablo, Planescape, etc.

Just extract the file, run it, and do a FILE -> SCAN DIRETORY (or SCAN FILE).

You can even convert the files to wav format, and with another program, to mp3!!!

This program is at http://www.3ddownloads.com/?directory=/forge/teambg/TeamBG_Files/non-teambg/
Being an Evil Overlord seems to be a good career choice. It pays well, there are all sorts of perks and you can set your own hours. However every Evil Overlord I've read about in books or seen in movies invariably gets overthrown and destroyed in the end. I've noticed that no matter whether they are barbarian lords, deranged wizards, mad scientists or alien invaders, they always seem to make the same basic mistakes every single time. Therefore, if I ever happen to become an Evil Overlord, ...

I got the whole soundtrack with a program called acm2wav. If you do a search you should find it. I don't have it installed to check, but I remember there being two of each music file, one of them .acm and the other .mus (or whatever). Just look through the music dir until you find the acm's, then use the program. The only downside is that you don't know which file has which song, and you'll often find yourself with a bunch of attack sounds and spell effects. If you are patient enough, you'll get the stuff you want. I liked that end song too, and Dionarra's (sp?) theme as well. Hope this helps.

ok guys, these programs work really well and Ramuh21 was rite, for every .mus file, there is an .acm file. so u can rip every song from the game. BUT, ive listened to almost EVERY song and i cant find the song played during the credits. remember, its that cryptic music with a heavy egyptian guitar rythm. any1 know where this file is? it can't just appear out of no where!
