How do you keep evil people
I've tried to do the evil party thing but there are still to many occasions where your reputation goes up. Is it possible to complete quests without getting the bump in reputation. Perhaps if you kept choosing the what's in it for me options and I don't care about your stinkin' town options maybe then you don't get rep points. I guess it would be ideal to keep your rep at about 13-14. Yeah, the evil people will complain but they won't take off. Any suggestions other than punching the occasional peasant in a remote location. Every time I think about punching a peasant it reminds of the line of 'the poor' from time bandits when Cleese is doling out Kevin and company's hard earnings.
Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.
Besides those you've mentioned, the easiest way is to get caught stealing from shops - try to bribe the guards and its -2 rep.

You can also find a fairly empty area and strike someone without a weapon. (I suggest doing this with your mage/sorc. A monk can really hurt somebody that way.) There will be few people to come after you. Both the Windspear and Umar Hills are good this way, after you've finished the quests in those areas.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I think any random house filled with commoners MIGHT work-not really sure though. When in doubt-save...load..save. Thats the way I learn. Its surprising how much you could get away with. Isnt there some random guy in the city of Baldurs Gate that says he senses evil within your group and starts attacking? This was near the Flaming Fist HQ in an inn southwest of it in that district. He attacked Tiax b/c Tiax was the only evil one within my group. Does this only effect Tiax or is it all evil people. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

Yeah, in Beregost 90% of the buildings are useless commoner houses, so If your rep gets too high go on a killing spree in Beregost (I have tested this myself, and it works great). There are also those annoying little boys, or pointless people out in the middle of nowhere. Also, the Nashkell guards will go away if you bribe them, and you don't lose as much rep.

Personally, I don't worry about it. The only evil char I have in my party is Viconia. My rep has been at 20 for most of the time I've had her(got her early on when my rep was at about 15 or 16) and, though she complains occasionally, she's yet to leave. She, Coran, and Dynaheir spend most the time flirting with each other, in fact. Since Coran is always wearing the Girdle of Femininity, I find it all quite...ineresting.

Hopefully this will sort out your problem Ned;
All evil NPC's have a line they say when they leave you...
ie: mutter mutter (Talk to PC in dialog log, leave)
Now, if you PC is NOT too close to them (the distance between the front and back slots in the main formation is fine), they will say this dialog line (and each one has there own and they all say the same thing when they want to leave). When they are in the middle of they're speech (but before they get too cloase and the dialog option starts), all you have to do is: Pause, pick the evil NPC, get them to move anywhere.
This breaks their speech, then they will "forget" to leave (ie Reputation) until the next time.
I have personally had Edwin, Viconia, Shar-teel from the cloakwood forest (where my rep when above 18) until the end and had no worries doing the "oh.. so-and-so, look over there... idiot" manuever.
So basically, when they spout their speech, pick them, make then do any action, they will stay, until the next time.

All I can remember is that I got it from an ogre that I killed. I think it was somewhere between Nashkel and Friendly Arm Inn(along the main path), but I don't remember for sure.Originally posted by Ned Flanders:

Hmm...interesting...Viconia, every so often, will say something about how she can't stand to travel with fools any longer. She usually says this after we do something that would increase our rep if it weren't already maxed. In fact, at the same time she's saying that, Coran is usually saying "I think we all deserve a pat on the back." I don't know if Viconia is saying her 'exit dialogue' you referred to, but she doesn't leave when she says this and I've got her standing next to my PC almost all the time.(My PC is 2nd, Viconia is 3rd). I've had Viconia since before I cleared out the Nashkel mines. I got Shar-Teel(I think that's who it was) after doing pretty much everything that can be done before going to the Bandit Camp and she left before I managed to find the Bandit Camp. Not that I really cared. I had only picked her up as a temporary replacement for the then recently exploded Branwen.Originally posted by Mr Snow:

@SS;
Another clue is that if the evil NPC who wants to leave is far from you, they will independently walk to your PC to give they're speech. So if you see Vic/Shar-teel moving without you giving instructions, whilst piping on, you know the end is nigh

I certainly keep an eye out for any suspicious movement. Viconia one of my fave NPCs and don't want to lose her, but I also like keeping my rep at 20 so I can spend less money buying things.Originally posted by Mr Snow:

There is a bounty hunter you can work for in Nashkell. Do not lie to him by telling him you are Greywolf. Instead, work for him by turning in Prism and Brage. There is an excavation you can side with the thief and loot the tomb. Also you can flood the Cloakwood mines with the slaves still inside (my favorite). I dislike killing peasants, so usually stick to nobles instead.
