Armour Change within battle

In an earlier thread, I think one about the intended class for the Protagonist, I noticed someone speak of a F/M.

I then saw mention of a trick of changing armour during battle, how do you do this? I'd like to know!

That's very easy...just go to your inventory when in battle and put on your full plate in a second...

There's only one problem I see here. If you have it paused, it unpauses when you go to your inventory screen.

That's right, SS, it does unpause, but if you want to put armour on in the heat of the fray, you just have to deal with the fact that you lose sight for 2 seconds.

I tried, and it sez your can't change armour. I even tried for the less than one second... help?

Hmm....well it's been a while since I've played last, but have no patches, if you do, that's the root of the problem.
