multiclass hit points

Post by jonschneider »

yeah, so can someone explain to me how a mulitclassed character gains hitpoints as the level up? Jaheira....a fighter/druid with a constitution of 17. She advances to the second level in both classes at the same time. Does she receive 1d10+3 exp for her warrior advancement AND 1d8+2 for her priest advancement? Or does it use only one of the classes? thanx

IIRC then when a multiclass levels up - it recives the die for that class divided by the number of classes.
ei. Jaheira will recive when she levels up as a fighter (1d10+ CON-bonus)/2

To which we should add that the game rounds all fractions down, right? A Fighter/Cleric/Mage that rolls 5 HP for a Cleric level gets only 1...
