Ulcaster (spoiler ?!?!?!?)

Post by Mr Sleep »

I was wondering if i am missing something everyone in beregost goes on about all this evil that is coming out of Ulcaster, one goes there kills some beasties and then wanderes back out, is there a solution to this plae or is it just a dungeon hack?
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

@Sleep; this dungeon has caused many players a bit of consternation. To get to the really good part takes some doing.

When you first come onto the map you should meet a ghost (can't remember his name but he's the former School Master). He asks you for a book (if you converse with him long enough. When you first descend into the dungeon turn up (or to your party's right). There's a room with a dead body and the room north of it has some feral wolves. There is a doorway in the northwest corner of that room that is real hard to see. Just run your cursor around up in that corner of the room until you get the 'move' outline. Go on from there and you'll have some more encounters with vamperic wolves until you get to a pile of treasure. The book that Ulcaster wants is there. Take it back to him for experience. There's also a Wand of Fire and some other cool stuff around.

If you've already done this then you've done it all.

No, you're not missing anything. It's just somewhat of a letdown considering all to the Beregost hype.

There's also the Icharyd, a powerful undead warrior that comes out at night somewhere near Ulcaster's ghost.

I don't know exactly what makes him appear (seen him once, but couldn't get him the next times). Dan Simpson's FAQ claims that killing enough stuff near the ghost triggers him, but I got into plenty of bloodshed for that.

You can tell he's there by using Life Scan... uhh I mean Detect Evil :D )

That's odd... I've always seen Icharyd. In fact I could never get out from the path up the hill without being intercepted by him at the top.

I'll be doing Ulcaster again soon. I'll let you know what I find in more detail.
